Rules - GCC Majors 2017 (30 June - 1 July, Doha - Qatar)
General Tournament Rules (Game-specific Rules Below): ● Players are expected to check in between 2:00 – 3:00 PM on June 30th at the designated signup desk. Any late check-ins (barring extreme circumstances) will not be entertained. ● Players who register onsite will be handled after check-ins from online registrations are complete. ● Controllers are BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller). If you do not have a controller ready in time for your match, you risk a disqualification. ● Button checks to be conducted by mutual agreement between players and should be completed as quickly as possible. ● Players using wireless controllers are required to desynchronize them IMMEDIATELY after they are done with their tournament set. This is to avoid potential disruptions to other players. ● Once the tournament starts, you are expected to be near the playing area at all times. If you are called to a match and do not respond within 10 minutes, you will be disqualified. ● All disqualifications are irreversible unless they come as a result of a clear judgment error on the part of the TO. ● If you need to leave the tournament area for some time or altogether, please notify an organizer immediately so they can adjust the situation accordingly. Explain your situation clearly so you do not get unfairly disqualified. ● Pause can only occur by one player requesting it from their opponent, whereby the opponent agrees. Pausing to affect the opponent will result in automatic disqualification.

● Mid-match, you are not allowed to physically attempt to affect your opponent (e.g. try to hit buttons on their controller or intentionally impede their view of the screen). Doing so will result in your disqualification from the tournament. ● Once done with a match, immediately notify an organizer of the result so they can update the bracket, and clear the play area you used for the next players to step in. ● If spectating a match, keep your support for the players purely vocal. Do not physically encroach on the players’ space. ● If you are coaching another player, you may only give them advice before the set starts and between matches. NO COACHING IS ALLOWED MID-MATCH. ● Keep it civil. Attendees who attempt to start fights will be respectfully ejected from the venue. ● You may use open stations for casual matches only if there are no tournament matches that need to run there. If you are asked to stop playing casual matches by a TO, please do so immediately. ●
If you play on the streaming/recording station, make sure the person in charge of it has your name for commentary purposes.
