Product: RX Universal LCD Track Slider Solution Model#: Richardson Series 1 Attach Track Lengths Instruction#: 0011 Revision: D 2 Date:09/08/05 Wall Mounting Remove the two end caps then thread the two track lengths together using the set screw supplied. Ensure the shorter track is on the bottom and the tracks are straight. 3 Install Equipment: Keyboard Sliders Remove the end cap at the top of the track slider using the allen key provided (but ensure that there is still one attached at the bottom). Locate the wall stud and mark the top hole. Drill a pilot 11/64 hole and insert a d screw (provided). Do not over tighten. Place a level on the side of the track then mark bottom hole and drill another pilot hole. Tighten both screws to the wall. Note: If you are mounting on metal studs, you will require the appropriate anchor from your local hardware supplier. Slide the two track mounts onto the wall track. Secure the bottom mount at the very end of the track by tightening the bolt with the allen key provided. Slided on the keyboard slider assembly and tighten the knob. 3 LCD Slider (Dual) Install LCD Slider (single) A B There are various LCD adaptor configurations available but they all attach to the wall track in the same way. You can install the LCD adapter to the track pointing down or standing up. Make sure the brake knob is loose and slide the LCD adapter you have ordered and then tighten the brake knob to secure the adapter to the track. Illustration A and B show the single monitor slide mounted on the track in both the up position (A) and the down position (B). D C Illustration C and D show the dual monitor slide mounted on the track in both the up position (C) and the down position (D). Page 1 Product: RX Universal LCD Track Slider Solution Model#: Richardson Series 4 5 Reinstall End Cap Use the allen key provided to reinstall the end cap. 6 Instruction#: 0011 Revision: D Keyboard Assembly (1) Place the plastic washer on top of the keyboard adapter plate and place the keyboard on top of the washer. Date:09/08/05 Attach the VESA plate Select the appropriate size VESA mounting plate for your monitor. Attach the VESA plate to the arm using the allen key and the 3 screws provided. Depending on the model purchased, the VESA plate may already be installed. Keyboard Assembly (2) Attach the keyboard to the adapter plate with bolt, bearing and washers using the allen key provided. NOTE: Ensure that when you place the washers and bearing on the bolt that the bearing is between the 2 washers. 7 Tighten Pivot Joints (1) Tightening this bolt prevents drifting Now is a good time to go over the installed components and tighten any and all pivot joints using the provided allen key Tighten Pivot Joints (2) Tightening this bolt allows the monitor to be set firmly in place and prevents movement. Page 2 Product: RX Universal LCD Track Slider Solution Model#: Richardson Series 8 9 Attach LCD Monitor Using the 4 screws provided and a philips head screw driver, attach the LCD to the VESA mount. 10 Instruction#: 0011 Revision:D Date:09/08/05 Secure CPU Follow the CPU assembly instructions provided with each unit. Attach CPU and UPS to the Track Slider Slide the UPS assembly onto the bottom track slider pins. Adjust the 2nd slider up the track and tighten the locking bolt. Slide the CPU assembly onto the track slider pins. If the spacing between the UPS and CPU is too tight, adjustments to the slider will have to be made. 11 Monitor Arm Adjusment B A Tighten the silver pivot handles until the weight of the mounting can be supported while still allowing for the tilt to be adjusted. By loosening the bottom handle (A), the range of motion from the base of the arm is shown above. By loosening the top handle (B), the range of motion is shown at the neck of the arm. Page 3 Product: RX Universal LCD Track Slider Solution Model#: Richardson Series 12 Date:09/08/05 Attach Keyboard & Mouse Holder Peel and stick the velcro and apply to the underside of the keyboard then position and press the keyboard firmly onto the tray. 13 Instruction#: 0011 Revision:D Affix the mouse holder to the underside of the keyboard tray. Do not stick to the sliding mouse tray. Wrist Rest Removal Note: This step is nessessary if using a keyboard with a built in wrist rest Use a flat-head screwdriver and loosen the two screws underneath the handle. 14 Remove the wrist rest and reinstall the handle. Cable Management Insert the plastic thread through the plastic clip in the underside of the articulating arm (A). Thread it through approximately half way and place the cable(s) on top. After you have the cables in place, tighten both plastic threads to secure them. Ensure there is some play with the cables between the articulating arms to allow movement. Page 4
