SERVICE GUIDE Service Guide Montblanc Profile Quartz Chronograph (A) Hour hand (B) Minute hand (C) Subsidiary seconds dial (independent of chronograph function) (D) Chronograph minute counter (30 minutes) (E) Chronograph 1/10 second counter (10/10 second) (F) Chronograph second hand (G) Date Crown: (1): Normal position (2): Position for quick adjustment of time zones, including adjustment of the date by winding the watch on by 24 hours. The chronograph minute counter is started using the pusher at 4 o'clock (P2). (3): Position for setting the time. In this position the subsidiary second hand ceases to move, to allow the exact time to be set. The chronograph second hand is started using the pusher at 2 o'clock (P1), and the chronograph 1/10 second counter is started using the pusher at 4 o'clock (P2). Special functions: (P1) Starting and stopping the chronograph. Pressing once starts the large second hand (D), which sets the minute counter (F) in motion after 60 seconds have elapsed. Pressing a second time stops the large second hand and the minute counter, and the 1/10 second counter then shows the recorded time. (P2) Returning the chronograph to zero and split-time function. Pressing once when the chronograph has already been stopped (see P1) returns the three chronograph hands (large second hand, 1/10 second counter, minute counter) to zero. Pressing once when the chronograph is running (see P1) stops the three chronograph hands (large second hand, 1/10 second counter, minute counter) to show the split time; pressing a second time displays the elapsed time again. This split-time function may be activated as many times as required.
