Lift Power Cable Relocation CORRECTIVE ACTION
Inspect the routing of the wheelchair lift cable in the PDU box. If the cable is connected to the clean power terminal, relocate it to the main power terminal per the instructions below.
PROCEDURE 1 Park vehicle on level surface. Remove key and chock wheels. 2 Locate the chassis PDU box mounted under the front left side of the bus directly below the Driver’s Area. Loosen the four latches and remove the cover. The exact appearance of the affected connections depends upon whether the bus is equipped with an Ammeter Shunt; with a DC Sensor; or with neither.
3 Locate the Wheel Chair power cable which is connected to the Wheel Chair Lift circuit breaker. • If the opposite end of the cable is connected to the main power terminal, no change is required. Replace the PDU cover. Sign and return the sheet provided with this bulletin. • If the opposite end of the cable is connected to the terminal stud for “clean” power (intended for electronic equipment), rework and relocate the connection as follows.
INCORRECT
PDU with Ammeter Shunt
Lift Cable Connected to Clean Power Terminal
W/C Lift Power Cable Ammeter Shunt
W/C Lift Power Cable DC Sensor PDU with DC Sensor Connection is similar for buses with neither shunt nor sensor.
