DESCRIPTION The S138 is a compact high power subwoofer of reflex loaded type. Featuring dual 12” long excursion low frequency transducers. Featuring two 1.200W low frequency transducers housed in a carefully tuned reflex cabinet. This subwoofer delivers both deep bass and very fast tight response. Rated at 2.400W programme it can reach very high levels. The drivers features high temperature 4” edge wound ribbon voice coils. The magnet assembly is among the most massive ever used on a 12” driver. An extra long voice-coil and an extra thick top plate gives a linear excursion of 18mm. A reflex port of large area contributes to high efficiency and low duct air speed reducing nonlinearities to a minimum. The integrally-stiffened linear cones of are stable even under high power conditions. The S138 is flat from 45Hz-300Hz without any kind of controller or DSP. The cabinet is well braced and made from 18mm multi laminate Finnish birch ply, painted in black textured Warnex. It has two recessed Neutrik NL4 at the rear. All hardware is optional.
