  S320 + GeoSurveyor Mobile - Log Raw GPS – Convert Hemi.bin files into Rinex format files Part Number 874-0308-000 Revised: March 5, 2014 Overview This document describes how to collect GNSS Raw Data on the S320 GNSS Receiver’s internal SD-Card using the GeoSurveyor Mobile software, (SurvCE), on the XF2 data collector for PostProcessing and/or submitting the Rinex observation files to the NGS OPUS, NRCAN PPP, or AUSPOS data processing services. These instructions are also valid for the older Hemisphere GNSS XF1 data collectors and other Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional data collectors. Procedure Screenshot or Graphic Step   GeoSurveyor Mobile, (SurvCE) will log/record GNSS Raw Data files to the S320 GNSS Receiver’s Internal SDCard\DATA folder. The following steps outline these procedures.   In order for the Raw Data to be recorded to the S320 GNSS Receiver’s Internal SD-Card memory, the User needs to manually create a Data folder on the SD-Card.   1. Power OFF the S320 GNSS Receiver,   2. Remove the SD-Card from the S320 GNSS Receiver,   3. Insert the SD-Card into a SD-Card Reader on the Computer,   4. Using Windows Explorer, create a New Folder on the SD-Card called: DATA   5. Note: the User only needs to create the DATA folder on the S320’s SD-Card once, or subsequently after re-formatting the SD-Card,     S320+GeoSurveyor Mobile_Log Raw GPS 6. Remove the SD-Card from the S320 GNSS Receiver, Insert the SD-Card into the Office PC, copy the current (*.bin) files from the SD-Card\DATA folder over to a designated folder on the office PC. The HEMI.bin files can be Imported to the HGNSS GeoSurveyor Office PostProcessing SW, or the HEMI.bin files can be converted into RINEX format files for submission to the NGS OPUS, NRCAN PPP or AUSPOS. March 5, 2014   Screenshot or Graphic Step To convert the HEMI.bin files into RINEX format files using the Hemisphere Rinex Desktop Software, please follow the subsequent steps to convert the HGNSS HEMI.bin files into RINEX files. Select File > Help, About Rinex Conversion Tool Rinex Conversion Tool Version 1.8.3.1 Click OK to close Select File > Load Binary File, Rinex Desktop > File > Configuration menu, if necessary manually enter the Site Name, Observer’s Name, Receiver Type, Antenna Serial Number, Antenna Type, Antenna Height, Specify the Output Binary Data Rate, Specify the output Filenames and destination path. Tech tip: You may want to use the RINEX standard file extensions, .13o = last 2-digits of year, “o” = Rinex observation file. .13n = last 2-digits of year, “n” = Rinex navigation file.   S320+GeoSurveyor Mobile_Log Raw GPS Page 17 of 20 PN 874-0308-000 Rev.
