Overview
• Before connecting the device to an outlet, make sure that the voltage listed on the appliance matches the mains voltage. • For safety reasons, this class I appliance must be fitted with a grounded plug. • Always connect the device to an earthed socket. • This device can be used by children from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are 8 years and above and supervised. • Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under 8 if the applicance is switched on or when it is cooling. • The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be high when the appliane is in use. • If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the customer service of the manufacturer or any similarly qualified persons to prevent danger. • The devices are not intended for use in conjunction with an exter-
nal timer or a separate remote control system. • Do not immerse the device or power cord in water or other liquids. • Check the power cord, the device, and the extension cable for damage before use. Do not operate a damaged device. Immediately disconnect the plug from the mains. Never carry or pull the device on the power cord. Do not pull the power cord over sharp edges. Do not trap or bend the cord sharply. • Never place the appliance or mains cord on hot surfaces or next to a naked flame. • Do not leave the mains cord dangling in easily accessible places. • Never disconnect the mains plug by pulling on the cord or with wet hands. In the case of a fault during use, disconnect the mains plug before cleaning or transport and after use. • Route the mains cord and, if necessary, the extension cable in such a way that it cannot be pulled and cannot present a trip hazard. • Do not leave the operating or connected device unattended. • Clean the appliance after each use. Leave the appliance to cool completely before cleaning and storage.

Before initial use • Wipe the outside of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Wipe dry. • Run the appliance for approx. 4-5 minutes with the grill plate attached. Then leave the appliance to cool. Clean the appliance and accessories as described in the “Cleaning and maintenance” chapter.
• On initial use, smells or light smoke may be produced due to production additives, e.g. lubricants. This is completely normal! Therefore, ensure that you have adequate ventilation.

Warning: Before cleaning, switch off the appliance, disconnect from the mains and leave to cool.
Place the grill plate on top.
Set the temperature it is steplessly adjustable. Temperature and operating indicator lamp light up.
Caution: The heating elements become very hot. Risk of burns!
As soon as the temperature indicator lamp goes out, the appliance is ready for use.
Place the grill rack on top. Add some water to the grill plate and place it in the bottom of the appliance as a drip tray.
Set the temperature, it is steplessly adjustable. Temperature and operating indicator lamp light up.
Note: Use the spatula to remove the grilled food from the small pans.
As soon as the temperature indicator lamp goes out, the appliance is ready for use.

Place the food onto the rack.
