Tools Required Crosshead screw driver, medium WARNING!! Heavier products should be placed near the bottom of a rack or cabinet. A top-heavy rack can become unstable resulting in equipment damage or personal injury.

Fasten Brackets to the Tray 1
Install the 4-inch front brackets to the front of the tray. Fit the bracket bosses into the tray slots to produce the desired set back.

Fasten each front bracket with two 6-32 screws. The screws should be tight enough to secure the bracket, but loose enough to allow the bracket to slide. 3

NOTE Depending on the rail kit you ordered, the rail kit comes with either 12-inch or 20-inch rear brackets.

Install the 12-inch or 20-inch rear brackets to the rear of the tray. Fit the bracket bosses into the tray slots to span the rack length.

Fasten each bracket with two 6-32 screws. The screws should be tight enough to secure the bracket, but loose enough to allow the bracket to slide.

Install Tray Assembly in Rack NOTE These instructions assume at least 1U of space in the rack above the tray.

Install the tray assembly, sliding the brackets as needed to span the rack. Fasten each bracket to the rack with two 10-32 screws. Use centering washers only for racks with square holes.

Install Power Supply Slide the power supply between the positioning guides and under the retainer. 1
NOTE Leave the power supply cord bundled loosening only enough to reach the front of the tray.

Install Switch NOTE If the switch has rubber feet attached to the bottom, remove them.

Plug the DC power supply into the switch. Slide the switch into the bay so that the switch positioning tab engages the slot on the back of the switch. The front of the switch should be flush with the front of the tray. If you are installing a second power supply and switch, do so now. 1. Switch positioning tab
Install Tray and Bay Covers 1
If you installed only one switch, fasten the tray cover and the bay cover (for the empty bay) to the tray with four 6-32 screws. If you installed two switches, fasten the tray cover to the tray using four 6-32 screws. NOTE Fit tray cover tabs into the switch bezel slots.
