SAP Jam Communities for hybris Administration Guide Content 1 Get started 1.1 Welcome to SAP Jam Communities for hybris Administration Guide Introduction SAP Jam Communities for hybris commerce is a new solution offered by SAP that is the first commerceoptimized community. SAP Jam Communities enables B2B and B2C online commerce sites to: ● Enhance product catalog information with authentic community content and peer recommendations to enhance your SAP hybris Commerce investment. ● Drive increased traffic via search-engine-optimized community content and sharing community content in social networks. ● Offer relevant, credible content to instill buying confidence and increase revenue. ● Enable customers to find answers to their questions on their own time and terms. ● Establish emotional relationships to create loyalty. These objectives are met by providing the following capabilities to SAP Jam Communities for hybris commerce users: ● The ability for users to ask questions about any product (topic) listed in hybris. ● The ability for users to discuss any product (topic) listed in hybris. ● The ability for authorized users to write blogs—such as detailed comparisons of similar products, product usage tips, or partial or even full tutorials on the use of the product—about any product (topic) listed in hybris. ● The ability for users to contribute reviews on any product (topic) listed in hybris. ● The ability for users to comment on other user's contributions. ● The ability for users to like other user's contributions. ● The ability for users to follow topics or specific exchanges. ● The ability for users to view a summary of other user's contributions. ● The ability for users to search and find user's contributions. Version and compatibility This document covers the SAP Jam Communities for hybris, version 1.0, which is compatible with hybris v.5.5. All rights reserved. 3 Requirements The SAP Jam Communities for hybris sample code must be installed on your organization's hybris v.5.5 server and be properly configured, as is described in the SAP Jam Communities for hybris sample code Installation Guide. 1.2 SAP Jam Communities for hybris Admin console SAP Jam Communities for hybris administration is performed in the Admin console. To access the SAP Jam Communities for hybris Admin console 1. As the SAP Jam Communities for hybris administrator, click on your name at the top of any hybris page and select Admin from the context menu. SAP Jam Communities for hybris Administration Guide Get started 2 Administration 2.1 Manage Topics The Admin Topics section allows you to design the layout of the individual "topic", or product pages. 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Topics from the left navigation sidebar. The initial page of the Admin Topics section is displayed. Figure 4: The Topics pages catalog The initial page of the Topics section is a catalog of all previously created topic pages. From this page, you can add a new topic page, or view or edit an existing topic page. To create a new topic page 1. In the Topic Name text box, enter the name or title that you want to give the new topic (product) page. This will be displayed as the title of the page. 3. In the Topic Caption text box, enter a short description of the topic page. This page caption can be a maximum of 140 characters. 4. In the Topic Thumbnail panel, either drag and drop an image from your local computer's file manger onto this panel, or click browse in the panel to open your browser's file location and upload dialog box, navigate to the image, and select Upload or whatever the button is labeled in your browser's File upload dialog box. You will be prompted to scale or select the viewable portion of the image if it is larger than the recommended size. Once you set and accept the scale and viewable area (if required), the uploaded image will be displayed in the Topic Thumbnail panel. You can select a different image by clicking Change Photo. 5. In the Select Topic Type panel, click either Engagement or Q&A/Support to set the user subscription option described in those boxes. 6. Optionally, select the Enable advertising check box to have advertisements appear on your topic pages. Note that you must have advertising configured in the properly. Admin Topics section for this option to work 7. Once these options are set to your satisfaction, click Next: Design/Configuration. Optionally, click on the pencil icon below the image to add a description or more detailed commentary to your page. This text input allows unlimited text to be added. 10. Once you have these options set to your satisfaction, click Next: View Topic. A preview of the topic is displayed. Figure 7: Topic preview 11. You can click Back at the top of the page to return to the previous page(s) to change the settings you made previously. 2. You can click Create New at the bottom left of the page to add another paragraph. Note that this option allows extensive formatting of the text, as well as the addition of more images. 3. You can click Publish Changes at the top of the page to publish your changes. The new topic is created, and you are returned to the will be listed in the Topics table. Admin Topics catalog, where your new topic To edit an existing topic page ● In the Admin Topics page's catalog, click Edit on the row beside the topic that you want to edit. The steps that you can perform here are much the same as those for creating a topic, as described above. To view an existing topic page ● In the Admin Topics page's catalog, click View on the row beside the topic that you want to view. The steps that you can perform here are much the same as those for the view stage of creating a topic, as described above. 2.2 Design your Home Page Design your home page in the Admin Home Page section. 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Home Page from the left navigation sidebar. The Admin Home Page section is displayed. Click View Home Page for a full-page preview of your current home page settings. 3. Click Edit Home Page to modify your home page design. Click Change Photo to open the Upload Image dialog box, from which you can browse your device for an image to upload or enter a URL from which an image can be uploaded. 5. Click Toggle Text to toggle the text color of the title between black and white. Select the color that provides the best contrast between your title text and your selected background image. 6. Click on the pencil icon beside the title to change the Home Page title. 7. Click on the pencil icon beside the text below the banner image to change the Home Page descriptive text. 8. Click on the pencil icon beside the text near the bottom of the Home Page form, but above the footer section, to add or modify a paragraph of text at the end of the page. If you click on either the footer text pencil icons (steps 7 or 8), a simple rich text editor displays in which you can enter and format the text that you want to appear in these locations. Figure 10: The "footer" rich text editor 9. Your changes are saved as you work, so when you are satisfied with the look of the page, you can navigate to your next task. Your changes will be saved, and the Home Page will show your changes. 2.4 Configure 3rd Party Analytics If you want to use a third-party analytics service to track your users' usage of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site, you can configure your on-site, third-party web analytics in the section. All rights reserved. 15 To register a third-party web analytics service 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select 3rd Party Analytics from the left navigation sidebar. The Admin 3rd Party Analytics section is displayed. Figure 13: The 3rd Party Analytics section 2. Click the Analytics Provider drop-down menu to select your analytics provider. Currently, the options are: ○ Google Analytics: To configure this option, enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID in the text box. Figure 14: The "Google Analytics" configuration option ○ Adobe Analytics: To configure this option, enter the following information, which you should have received from Adobe: ○ Adobe Analytics Report Suite ID: the ID of your Adobe Analytics report suite. ○ Adobe Analytics Organization ID: your organization's ID with Adobe Analytics. ○ Adobe Analytics Tracking Server: the URL of your organization's analytics tracking server. 16 © 2016 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. Your analytics service is registered, and analysis is enabled. To de-register a third-party web analytics service 1. In the Analytics Provided drop-down menu, select No Provider. 2. Click Submit. Your analytics service is deregistered, and analysis that includes your SAP Jam Communities pages is disabled. 2.5 Configure Advertising Configure advertising in your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site in the Admin Advertising section. 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Advertising from the left navigation sidebar. The Admin Advertising section is displayed. In the Embedding Content ID section, select the advertisements service that you want to use, and enter your advertisements content ID. Note Currently, Google AdSense is the only service that is supported. 3. Optionally, in the Top Banner section, select the advertisements service that you want to use, and enter your content ID number for that format of advertisements (728px wide by 90px high). Note Currently, Google AdSense is the only service that is supported. 4. Optionally, in the Side Banner section, select the advertisements service that you want to use, and enter your content ID number for that format of advertisements (300px wide by 250px high). Note Currently, Google AdSense is the only service that is supported. 5. When you have set these options to your satisfaction, click Save. Your advertisements for the configured locations are enabled and will appear in the preconfigured locations in your hybris site's pages. Note You must have configured the Embedding Content ID and at least one of the location options (Top Banner or Side Banner) for advertisements to appear. 18 © 2016 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. SAP Jam Communities for hybris Administration Guide Administration 2.6 The Configure Moderation Admin Moderation section allows you to: ● Set the number of "inappropriate" flags a post must receive before the post is automatically removed from view. Note that posts that receive any "inappropriate" flags are immediately shown in the Flagged Posts tab of this page, no matter what value is set in this option. ● Review and take action on flagged posts. ● Review permanently removed posts to evaluate user behavior. To set the Flag Threshold 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Moderation from the left navigation sidebar. The Admin Moderation section is displayed. All rights reserved. 19 To set the Flag Threshold 1. In the Admin Moderation section, click the Moderation Threshold tab. The Moderation Threshold tab is displayed. In the Flag Threshold text box, enter the number of inappropriate flags that a post must receive before it will be removed from view and click Save. The Flag Threshold value will be saved and it will be used to determine how many inappropriate flags a post must receive to be removed from view. To review and respond to flagged posts 1. In the Admin Moderation section, click the Flagged Posts tab. A table of flagged posts is displayed, with one flagged post per row. Note that posts that receive any "inappropriate" flags are immediately shown in this tab. Figure 19: The Admin > Moderation section's Flagged Posts tab 2. Click on the down arrow beside the "flagged" indicator for a list of your possible responses to the post. Your options are: ○ Feature this conversation or Mark as best answer: (The label of this option will change, depending on whether it was a discussion, a question, or an answer.) Select this option if you find the content of the post to be not only acceptable, but worthy of being brought to the attention of your other users, or of being marked as the best answer to the original question. ○ Reinstate this content: Select this option if you find the content of the flagged post to be acceptable. Note that you can respond to the post before reinstating it. ○ Permanently Remove: Select this option if you agree that the content of the post is unacceptable and you want to remove it from view by your other users. If you choose this option, you will be shown a dialog box that will allow you to take further action: Figure 21: Remove Post dialog box ○ You can also Remove all posts by the same user. ○ You can also Ban the user. ○ Edit: Select this option if you think that this content is acceptable with a minor modification, such as removing an offensive word or phrase. All rights reserved. 21 To review all permanently removed posts When posts are permanently removed, their content is deleted, but a record of the text of the post and the identity of the user who wrote it are retained. Those records are listed in the table of this tab for future review of the removed posts so that the behavior of offenders can be evaluated over the longer term of your site's operation. 1. In the Admin Moderation section, click the Permanently Removed Posts tab. A table of the permanently removed posts is displayed, with one removed post per row. Figure 22: The Admin > Moderation section's Permanently Removed Posts tab To configure profanity blocking When posts are permanently removed, their content is deleted, but a record of the text of the post and the identity of the user who wrote it are retained. Those records are listed in the table of this tab for future review of the removed posts so that the behavior of offenders can be evaluated over the longer term of your site's operation. 1. To upload an initial set of profane terms, create a comma-separated values file, and then upload it by clicking Import CSV and using your browser's file locate and upload features. 4. To update an existing set of profane terms, click Download CSV, then update the CSV file, which will download using your browser's file download feature, and then upload the updated CSV file by clicking Import CSV and using your browser's file locate and upload features. 5. Optionally, to disable profanity blocking, click the Disable Profanity Blocker button. 2.7 Configure Legal notices and Disclosures Footer Links & Details Set the legal and disclosure notices that you want displayed in your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site in the Admin Legal/Disclosures section. 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Legal/Disclosures from the left navigation sidebar. Optionally, in the Footer text box, enter the copyright or other information that you want displayed at the bottom of each page of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. Alternatively, leave this text box empty if you do not want to display a text message at the bottom of each page. 3. Optionally, in the Terms of Use text box, enter the URL to the "terms of use" agreement for your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. If set, a "Terms of Use" link will be displayed below the footer text on each page of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. Alternatively, leave this text box empty if you do not want to display a Terms of Use link at the bottom of each page. 4. Optionally, in the Privacy Policy text box, enter the URL to the "privacy policy" for your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. If set, a "Privacy Policy" link will be displayed below the footer text on each page of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. Alternatively, leave this text box empty if you do not want to display a Privacy Policy link at the bottom of each page. 24 © 2016 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved. SAP Jam Communities for hybris Administration Guide Administration 5. Optionally, in the Imprint text box, enter the URL to a page of information about your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. If set, an "Imprint" link will be displayed below the footer text on each page of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. 6. Optionally, in the Contact Us text box, enter the URL for the "Contact us" page for your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. If set, a "Contact Us" link will be displayed below the footer text on each page of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. Alternatively, leave this text box empty if you do not want to display a Contact Us link at the bottom of each page. 7. Optionally, to see what your changes will look like, click Preview. A dialog box is displayed with your changes shown. 8. When you have set these options to your satisfaction, click Publish. Your changes will be saved and displayed in the pages of your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. Note The links must use either the http or https protocol, and the URL must be sufficient to access a publicly accessible HTML page with the appropriate content. The labels for each text box indicate the hyperlink text that will be shown in the footer. HTML tags are not permitted, so the link text cannot be changed. Cookies, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy Message When users first log in to a SAP Jam Communities for hybris site, a notification is displayed at the bottom of their browser window prompting them to read and accept the site's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. To display that message to users again: 1. Click on the Show Message button at the bottom of the A confirmation dialog box is displayed. Admin Legal/Disclosures page. The message is displayed to users again, until they click on the I Acknowledge and Accept button in that notification banner. All rights reserved. 25 2.8 Configure Branding You can use the Admin Branding section to set the styles of most elements of the SAP Jam Communities for hybris site to match your company's branding. 1. Access the Admin console [page 4] and select Branding from the left navigation sidebar to configure the style options. The Admin Branding page is displayed. In the Change Logo section, click Browse your device to find the logo that you want to use on your local computer or other device, set the area of the image to be used in the selection preview of the image, and click Select Image. The selected area of the selected image will be used as the logo on your SAP Jam Communities for hybris site. The suggested formats are .jpg, .png, and .bmp, and the optimum size of the original image is any image with a 1:1.5 aspect ratio, with a 53px width by a 35px height being the currently displayed logo dimensions. 3.
