Get Control of Log Management cost, complexity and scalability Now! Let’s be realistic - although the necessity and value of enterprise Log management software is unquestioned, there are big challenges at scale. Large deployments often mean linear scale of complexity, rigidity and cost. The log software vendors emphasize the value of big-data in a single searchable repository but provide little guidance on how to architect or optimize the infrastructure to support it. Without this, operations staffs are forced to over provision and that over time shatters budgets with more volume licensing, hardware, and systems administration work. Some have looked to the public clouds or vendor’s own hosted solutions but at scale it becomes clear in just months that those approaches are a negative sum game. Sound familiar?
Single Vendor · Hardware · Virtualization / Cloud · Log Analysis tools · Application Automation · Green-Field or Legacy
Sapien Networks has solved the problem with its multi-disciplined DevOps team* that has engineered a prebuilt Private Cloud Log Management Platform (PCLMP) supporting best-in-breed Log management software. This powerful high-performance platform was developed to be easy-to-deploy, simple to manage, and highly extensible while mitigating complexity. PCLMP is also designed to provision your log applications as-a-service for elastic demands and workloads – which means rapid self-service provisioning, automation and other service provider class features. We did this by many man-months of work and focus to get the platform just right: a finely tuned balance of software and hardware for performance and scale.
Fully Automated Across · Infrastructure · Application spin up · Configuration · Auto-Scale
In short, Sapien Networks PCLMP allows you to finally get the value and insights from logs that your vendor promised - without breaking your budget. Coupled with our expert DevOps Services team and CI/CD methods, the total solution can help your business to stay ahead of the exploding Log Management and Big Data curve.
Platform Description: PCLMP is a full-stack solution that features an open architecture designed with service provider class features and runs on commodity hardware. This includes an OpenStack® base system with resource orchestration and automation of virtualized compute nodes for heavy workloads and optionally Docker® containers can be used for light-weight ones. Software defined storage is used for a central data repository or best-in-class storage can be substituted. Real-time telemetry on the platform ensures performance optimization and continuous improvement. Base Service Management package includes structured provisioning with workflow approval and consolidated alarm console. The platform is offered in an on-premises deployment and is extensible to the public cloud. PCLMP also provides for elasticity and rules based automation all to support efficient and optimized utilization.
* The DevOps Team
Private Cloud Log Management Platform
Our multi-disciplined team is comprised of seasoned network, storage, compute, virtualization, log-management, and application automation professionals with experience across technologies such as Commodity HW, Vblock, FlexPod, VMware, Openstack, Splunk, Puppet/Chef/Ansible, and Docker-Kubernetes/Mesos. Collectively our team has worked out the kinks within and across disciplines to produce an optimized, high performance and production ready solution. The value to you is a flexible and customizable solution deployable in either a green field project or integrated into a legacy system.
Enterprise Private Cloud for Log Analysis The enterprise private cloud consists of 5 modular layers, each being independent, extensible and customizable to the client requirements. Each module can be implemented independently of the other. The modules have been optimized for log analysis and can be extended to any application in the data center. Each module represents a different skill in the company which has worked together as a team to deliver a seamless and easy to manage solution.

Service Management: Ease of management for PCLMP begins with rapid (or self) service provisioning within a Service Catalog. A customizable central console provides a business centric view of each service with status. A robust workflow engine allows for service deployment approval and with the alarm console; for event management and remediation. A flexible rules engine sets the foundation for incremental automation and self-healing.
360 Degree Real-Time Monitoring: Efficient operational management is enabled by optimized and fully customizable dashboards across all layers. These provide a comprehensive view of Application and Platform health down to the component level whether it’s ‘software-defined’ or physical infrastructure.
