Sapphire Electric Projector Screens 1:1 aspect ratio Why would I need 1:1 Ratio electric projection screen? If you are likely to use an old style Overhead Projector or a slide projector you would need this as they project a square image onto the electric projector screen. They can be used as a 4:3 computer projector screen as well by stopping the projection screen before it is fully extended so that it makes a 4:3 ratio. 4:3 aspect ratio Why would I need 4:3 Ratio electric projection screen? If you are using a standard Video or computer you will usually have the electric projector screen image in this ratio (ie 1024x768 is actually 4:3) 16:9 aspect ratio Why would I need 16:9 Ratio electric projector screen? Generally this is used for home cinema where widescreen DVD's are used. Some modern laptops have a picture this size however they may or may not put out 16:9 by the external port which is the important point when choosing an electric projector screen. Tab tension screens Why would I need a Tab Tensioned Screen? This would normally be for high end home cinema as they come in a 16:9 ratio. However with bright general use projectors now starting to appear in 16:9 they can be used in any setting that requires the best. The tab wires ensuring that the surface remains perfectly flat Why would I want a tab Tensioned screen when they are much more expensive than a standard electric screen? The answer is that if you really want a screen with no wrinkles at all in the fabric and you cannot go for a fixed frame screen then this is the best solution. The very clever design with the wires at each side ensure that when tensioned the fabric is pulled perfectly flat over the entire viewing area. When you look at the rear of the fabric the best way to describe this is that it is like a sheet of glass. The casing is much bigger than our standard 2.0M and 2.4M electric screens as we use a much bigger roller and there is the mechanism for the side wires to build in which increases the width. Perhaps the best way to describe this is the difference between buying say a Bose sound system to many other good makes such as Accoustic Energy. If you want the best and money is not an object then you would probably go for the Bose system. However if you want a good quality solution cheaper solution then you will probably go for our standard electric screen range. Whilst all our screens have outstanding warranties this product has a three year warranty on the fabric and other parts other than the motor which has a ficve year warranty. If you want the best possible surface in an electric screen with an outstanding warranty the Sapphire Tab Tensioned "Mayfair" range is what you are looking for. The Motor is made by the World renowned French manufacturer "Somfy" with a five year The cool black casing is aluminium with a clever "Channel Fix" technology meaning that the screen can easily be fitted to a ceiling as the brackets can be placed at any location on either side of the screen. The screen fabric is imported from the USA the material has micro bead patterns on the surface and is soft to touch. With the tab tensioning system this screen in absolutely flat and when you look at the back on the fabric it looks like a screen of glass along the viewing area. The gain on the fabric is 1.2 and is designed to give you vibrant colour reproduction whatever the viewing material. Being black backed the screen can drop in front of a window should you require this. The material should not require tensioning when in use but this can be easily achieved should you ever have a need via the screw at the bottom of each side of the screen. This material is suitable for DLP or LCD projection. All the Sapphire Tab Tensioned screens come with an inline switch with a lead terminating in a standard three pin plug. The screen can then be operated by means of the supplied remote control or a button on the inline box or can be integrated with an Ir control system or learning remote. It uses IR 38 frequency to operate. The power lead comes out of the rear left of the screen when viewed from the front. This can be taken across the screen behind the brackets should you need power from the other side of the room. If you want to build your screen into a recess then the remote control extended that comes supplied with the screen will ensure that you have no problems as you can locate that at any convenient location and then point your remote control device at the sensor (see middle picture below) Wedgwood AV Ltd Specialise in the supply of audio visual equipment to UK medical, MOD, education and businesses Tel: 01754 769967 / 0800 018 9967 FREE Repeat Signage Standalone digital signage software for Windows with every order over £500+VAT purchased from Wedgwood AV Ltd in 2015 Full product list FREE AV guides Wedgwood are giving away Repeat Signage Standalone Edition worth £145+VAT with any products with a total order value of over £500+VAT purchased during 2015 from Wedgwood AV Ltd.
