Sartech launches new products for GME October 30, 2013
Renowned for saving lives with its emergency beacons, GME has launched a new range of products that now saves your smartphone. SoundSafe is a tough, waterproof, floating case with a built-in amplified speaker, designed to connect to any smartphone or MP3 player via its 3.5 mm headphone jack. It’s so easy to use, just select your music, plug in and adjust the volume. “SoundSafe has already saved my phone once this season,” says Peter Forey, MD of Sartech, who has previous when it comes to smartphone damage whilst boating. “It’s bad enough getting sand in your sandwiches but wrecking your phone after a wet transfer from the dinghy to the beach can be a real headache.” Once the cover is clicked into place, the waterproof, rugged housing will not only protect your phone from the elements, you can stash your keys, credit cards and cash. The detachable carabineer also allows you to attach the Sound Safe to your backpack to listen to music as you hike, or hang it up to play tunes in your tent or around the campfire. SoundSafe Plus is a more advanced SoundSafe model. Featuring a Smartphone Interface Dongle, this model allows you to play, pause, advance and rewind tracks and answer phone calls without having to open the waterproof case. SoundSafe Plus works in the same way as a hands-free speaker phone, your voice is picked up by the microphone in the Smartphone Interface Dongle and the caller’s voice is amplified via the inbuilt 3W speaker. Also available is the SoundSafe Rail Mount Kit which suits all SoundSafe models. Simply attach the mount to the nearest rail on your boat (or your bike handlebars, tent poles, etc.) to secure your SoundSafe within easy reach. The Smartphone Interface Dongle is Compatible with iPhone and iPod, Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S3 + Galaxy Note 2, Sony Ericsson, HTC, Nokia, Motorola, Blackberry, LG and Palm.
