The SIW.... models have been extended to include the Signum “stainless steel” and the “little Signum” with a compact design. Note: h The scales are equipped with an H8S processor. For calibration|adjustment, use Sartorius Service Software (H8S). In order to use this software, it is imperative that you select the XBPI-232 option setting via the menu on the Signum scale. Example: Menu > SETUP > COM1 > DATPROT > XBPI-232 (XBPI-232) Further settings are described in the operating instructions for the scale (pages 18-37). New Features - Housing Weigh cells taken from Signum for Signum Stainless steel Systems (little Signum from the ED series) Electronics (Signum components) Interfaces 3 Display units (100% Signum components) 61 Introductory Remarks Additional Tools, Programs etc. In addition to standard tools, you will need the following special tools and programs to work on Signum series scales Designation Item No. - Sartorius Service Software (H8S) with USB dongle *) 6740-88 - Sartorius Service Software (H8S) with LPT dongle *) 6740-89 *) 62 Registration in ISSS required Introductory Remarks Block Diagram Display Unit System PCB1) Built-in motorized calibration weight Accu Accu, System PCB2) Main PCB Adaptor Data Output Power PCB 1) 2) Strain gauge scale with system PCB Electromagnetic force compensation scale with system PCB Block001_d.jpg 63 Working with the Service Software Service Switches There are two sliding switches on the data output PCB for use by service technicians. These switches are located on the back of the scale and can be activated through the borehole using a thin object. To give the user some control of the overwriting process, they have the option of setting a minimum storage duration period. This time period is defined in days and can have a value from 0 to 255. When the Alibi memory is full, 16 data entries are deleted in order to free up space for the new data. The date of the newest among the 16 entries marked for deletion is compared with the current date. If the difference is greater than the defined time period, the values are deleted; if not, the error code ERR2632 is shown and the ‘save’ and ‘print’ operations are canceled. If, when comparing the date of the entry marked for deletion, the entry is found to have an invalid date (earlier than 2007 or later than 2049), the entry date is not compared with the current date and the 16 oldest entries are deleted regardless of the time period defined. If the time period is set to ‘0’, the date of the entry is not checked before data is overwritten. If no real-time clock is detected when the device is put into operation, the period is automatically set to ‘0’. If a clock is detected, the time period is set to a default value of 90 days. If the time indicated by the clock is invalid, the error message ERR2627 is shown and the Alibi memory cannot be operated until the time has been corrected. Note: h For further information, please refer to the operating instructions: 98647-004-40 | WMW6003-p08091. 71 Error Codes The codes are shown on the main display. Err codes are shown continuously; Inf messages are shown for 2 seconds, after which the program returns automatically to the weighing mode.
