Safety Not properly mounted antennas are easily damaged by strong winds. Owner and installer take the responsibility to ensure that the installation is done correctly. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by improper installation or use because of the many types of installation. ENGLISH 2. 3. The chair can be used as a seat. A signal reception isn't possible then. It is recommended not to lean against the antenna, because it isn't designed for it! Follow the safety instructions for installation and operation of the Selfsat-Antenna and Follow the warnings about installing and operating of the antenna rotor HH90 ENGLISH Note: 1. SAT-CHAIR and SAT-CHAIR SET Warranty The SAT-chair was made with great care and the warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase. A copy of the original receipt or invoice is valid as proof and must be sent with the set in the warranty case. The warranty covers all manufacturing and operational error, but excludes all damages caused by dropping, improper use or external oxidation due to improper installation. If unauthorized persons repair the SAT-Chair the warranty expires automatically. Information For further questions about installation or operation, contact your dealer or INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL A.S. SAT SAT-CHAIR No. 32915 Steel chair (without antenna) Parts for Assembly SC1 Selfsat H35D antenna (only in a complete set) SC2 Antenna Base (including slot for the concrete slab) SC3 Legs 3x SC4 The antenna pointing should be done by a specialist. This is the only way to ensure proper operation. The assembly of the antenna with rotor takes place in eight steps, while the chair must be horizontal so that the rotor mount is vertical. The adjustment steps are carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Selfsat rotor, these are: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Connect antenna and rotor using the included cable (SC24). Connect rotor and receiver with the attached cables (SC10/11) and, if necessary use window leading, to bring your cable indoors through a window or door frame, without drilling. (SC12); Set latitude at the rotor support (A1) Set cross polarization (tilt) angle to 0 °; Adjust the antenna-elevation in accordance with the instructions; The chair bolted to the rotor aligns directly to the south; Adjust the rotor to a possible southerly satellite via the antenna setup using USALS; Fine tune, repeat steps 5 and 6 until the level and the quality shown at the receiver is in maximum. The values of the settings you can see from the Annex to the Manual for Rotor HH90: Settings HH90 rotor operation eg Frankfurt, ASTRA 19.2 Cross polarization Elevation adjustment Azimuth (south) Latitude 0° 40.7° 180° 50.10° Your location: Your Satellite: 0° 180° adjustable chair leg Receiver setting Latitude Longitude 2 ENGLISH SAT-CHAIR - satellite antenna disguised as a balcony chair Antenna pointing with rotor (optional) SC5 plastic sheet for concrete slab SC6 SC7 SC8 screw 3x disc 3x nut 3x Not shown: SC9 concrete slab 50x50x6cm (not included SC10 coax cable 2.5 m (antenna - windows leading) SC11 coax cable 5.0 m (window-leading - receiver) SC12 Window leading, F connector female USALS 50.10° North 8.67° East The satellite receivers without USALS can also be controlled by DiSEqC 1.2 to the satellite positions. These settings can be saved - refer to the respective user manuals. When connecting two or more receivers (with Selfsat H30D2 or H30D4), only one can take control of the rotor. All receivers can only receive the same satellite. Information to the antenna setting such as elevation, azimuth, polarization, longitude, latitude and obstacle calculations, visit the websites: http://www.satlex.de/de/azel_calc.html (German only) or http://www.dishpointer.com/ 7 Rotor assembly (optional) The assembly of the rotor is done in accordance with the instructions of the HH90-Selfsat HH90 rotor. Assembly SAT-CHAIR Plug in the four legs (SC3 and SC4) in the tubes of the antenna base (SC2). The adjustment screw can be used to make a high adjustment, so that the chair does not wobble. Parts for Assembly: ENGLISH ENGLISH SC 21 Selfsat-Rotor HH90 with the accessories for motor assembly SC 22 Rotor Holder A standard concrete slab with dimensions 50x50x6cm should be used to ballast the chair, so that it does not accidentally move and the receiving won't be interference. Put the concrete slab (SC9) in the sheeting (SC5) as shown in the pictures and fix it with the tape. Put the coated plate into the slot of the antenna base (SC2). SC 23 Spacer (for the antenna series HD30) SC 24 coaxial cable (not pictured) 0.50 m (rotor - antenna) Installation: Assemble the Selfsat Rotor HH90 according to the instructions and fix the antenna body with angled bracket on the rotor. The H30D Series antenna is fixed with a spacer on the angle bracket; otherwise the rotor could collide with the antenna. Note: It is important to ensure that the rotor support (SC22) is vertical in all directions! The limits for the East and West should be set by the rotor control of the receiver so that the antenna can't hit anything. 6 Note: The chair can be used as a seat. A signal reception isn't possible then. It is recommended not to lean against the antenna, because it isn't designed for it! 3 Attaching Antenna Antenna Pointing The pointing of the antenna is done in five steps. The chair should stand horizontally on the floor. The adjustment steps in accordance to the instructions of Selfsat antenna are: For this, the angle bracket (B1) is fixed with the three screws (SC6), washers (SC7) and nuts (SC8) on the antenna bracket (SC2) of the SATCHAIR. 1. Connect antenna and receiver with the included cable (SC10/11) and, if necessary with the window conduit connecting (SC12); Set the cross polarization angle, by turning the antenna to the right (-) or left (+); Set the Elevation angle (elevation) by backward tilt; Set the Azimuth angle with the compass; rotate the chair together with the antenna in the satellite direction. Fine tune, repeat steps 3rd and 4th until the maximum level and quality is displayed by the receiver. 2. B1 ENGLISH 3. 4. 5. You can see the values of the angle from the appendix of the manual Selfsat antenna: Angle Crosspolarization Elevation Azimuth Angle e.g. Frankfurt, Sat: ASTRA 19.2 °: -1.7° ENGLISH The antenna is mounted directly on the antenna base of SAT-CHAIR. Your location: Your Satellite 31.7° 166.4° More Information you can see here: http://www.satlex.de/de/azel_calc.html (only in German language) oder http://www.dishpointer.com/ Thereafter, the antenna body (A1) is fixed with two screws (S2) to the angle bracket (B1).
