Saunders Elementary School Auditorium AV System SECTION – AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEM ! ! ! PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 ! ! 1.2 DESCRIPTION: The system consists of the central control audio-visual equipment, remote loudspeakers, video projector and interconnecting wiring. 1.03 QUALITY CRITERIA: The components included in this specification shall be the product of a manufacturer of established reputation who has designed and produced similar equipment for a period of at least ten (10) years. Acceptable manufacturers include: Bose, Extron, Renkus, Soundtube, and Benq. ! 1.04 ! 1.05 ! ! !! GENERAL CONDITIONS: The following general specifications shall apply to the audiovisual system and all components thereof. Associated work specified in other sections: DRAWINGS: The AV Contractor shall supply a complete set of As-built drawings, engineering data sheets, and instruction manuals of the system and its components upon completion of the project. PROGRAMMING: AV control system programming shall be performed by the project’s AV consultant. The AV contractor should include a $2,800 allocation in their bid for programming services to be paid to the consultant at the completion of the project. WIRING: All wiring shall be properly rated for the space where installed. All wire shall be concealed and protected from school children's’ reach. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 ! 3.02 ! ! ! !! INSTALLATION: Contractor shall furnish and install in accordance with the manufacturers’ specification and the AV drawings. TESTING: The system shall be adjusted and tested, and left in satisfactory operating condition. Any equipment found to be defective shall be replaced at no additional cost to the Owner. 3.03 WIRING: All wiring shall include permeant identification for ease of identification and for checkout. 3.04 WARRANTY: The AV contractor shall provide a 1 year system warranty to begin once system is commissioned by the project consultant. 3.05 TRAINING: The AV contractor shall provide a minimum of 2 ~ 3 hours of training to the Owner.
