SB-GM-S10EXT/10WØ Stealthbox™ Fits 1995-1999 GM S-series Extended-Cab Pickup Trucks
Installation Guide: This Stealthbox is a product which requires professional installation skills and tools. Please read this installation guide thoroughly before beginning the project. It will guide you step by step through the installation. Several of the steps in this process may require two people to accomplish. It is absolutely vital that the enclosure be properly mounted to the vehicle according to these instructions. Failure to mount the enclosure properly presents two problems: 1) The sub-bass performance will suffer due to the movement of the enclosure caused by the force exerted by the woofer and 2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety hazard in the event of a collision or sudden deceleration.
STEP 1: Fold the rear jump seats into the side panels.
STEP 2: Place the two supplied 4" X 4" wax squares on the floor of the extended cab portion of the truck. The wax squares should be 2" in front of the raised rear portion of the floor (see picture below left). The wax squares should be in the approximate area where the two threaded inserts in the Stealthbox will contact the floor of the vehicle.

STEP 3: Insert the supplied 3/8" X 1 1/4" bolts into the threaded inserts in the Stealthbox. The bolts should stick out 1/2" from the surface of the Stealthbox.
STEP 4: Place the Stealthbox into its mounting position in the vehicle. Press down firmly to leave an impression in the wax square.
STEP 5: Remove the Stealthbox. There should be clear impressions of the bolt heads in the wax squares.
BEFORE DRILLING CHECK UNDER THE VEHICLE FOR ANY LOOSE BRAKE LINES, FUEL LINES, OR OTHER POTENTIAL HAZARDS.
STEP 6: Using the impressions in the wax squares as guides, drill a 1/2" diameter hole in each wax square. Always wear eye protection when drilling.
STEP 7: Remove and discard the wax squares.
STEP 8: Run wires to the Stealthbox mounting location. Trim to length and attach to the Stealthbox using the terminal cup.
STEP 9: Test the operation of the Stealthbox.
STEP 10: Remove the bolts from the Stealthbox. Place the Stealthbox into its mounting position in the vehicle.

STEP 11: While one person adjusts the position of the Stealthbox from inside the vehicle, a second person should bolt the Stealthbox into place from underneath the vehicle using the supplied hardware. See diagram at right:

IMPORTANT!!! Once the bolts are tightened, spray undercoating onto the bolt heads to prevent rust, leaks and loosening of the bolts over time. Failure to do so may result in severe corrosion and may present a serious safety hazard.
This completes the installation.
