Model 325 Quick Reference Guide Introduction Congratulations on the purchase of the Model 325 scale. Please read this guide to become familiar with the operation of this product. Save this guide for later reference. WARNING: Do not exceed the capacity of the scale. Damage can occur. Basic Operation 1.
Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat and level surface.

Clear the scale platform and press the ON/OFF key… When 0.0 is displayed, the scale is ready for weighing.

Place the item to be weighed on the scale… The weight is displayed.
If the battery runs low, the LOW BATTERY annunciator will appear in the lower portion of the display window. Replace the 9-volt battery as soon as possible. Auto Power Off The unit has a battery saving auto power off function. If there is no scale activity in four minutes, the scale shuts off. Press the ON/OFF key to turn the scale on. Unit of Measure You can choose to display weight as lb/oz or kg/g. Press the UNIT key to toggle between the two units of measure. Capacity Capacity for the Model 325 is 25 lb x 0.1 oz
Tare Function You can view the weight of an object in a container by using the Tare function. Follow these steps: 1.
Turn the scale on, wait for zero weight to be displayed and place the container on the scale. Press the TARE key to tare the weight off the scale… 0 weight is displayed.
2.
Place the item to be weighed in the container… The net weight of the item is displayed.
3.
Remove the item from the container… 0 weight is displayed.
4.
If you have more items to be weighed using the same container, place the item in the container and repeat the process.
5.
Once you are finished, remove all items from the scale… A negative weight is displayed.
6.
Press the TARE key to zero the scale.
WARNING: Be sure the total weight of the container and the contents do not exceed the capacity of the scale. Hold Function If you have a large item that covers the display while on the scale platform, you can use the Hold function to freeze the weight on the display for 10 seconds after the item is removed. 1.
Press the HOLD key, then place the item on the scale platform.

Remove the item from the platform… The weight will remain on the display for 10 seconds. There is no way to erase the weight display before the 10 seconds are up.
3.
