If you choose to perform the installation yourself, it is absolutely vital that the Stealthbox® be properly mounted to the vehicle according to these instructions. Failure to mount the enclosure properly presents two problems: 1) The sub-bass performance will suffer due to the movement of the enclosure caused by the force exerted by the woofer(s). 2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety hazard in the event of a collision or sudden deceleration.

STEP 1 Empty out the cargo area so that you have a clean area to work in, and fold down the back seats.
Thank you for choosing a JL Audio Stealthbox® for your automotive sound system. With proper installation, your new vehicle-specific enclosed subwoofer system will deliver years of listening pleasure.
STEP 2 Remove the cargo floor panel to access the storage tray.
We strongly recommend that you have your new Stealthbox® installed by your authorized JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary tools and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle properly. Also, keep in mind that your warranty coverage extends to 2 years if your system is installed or approved by your authorized JL Audio dealer. If you prefer to perform your own installation, please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process. STEP 3 Inside the storage tray, remove the covers from each of the four bolts, and remove the bolts.

STEP 4 Remove the storage tray from the vehicle.
STEP 8 Remove the jack access door from the storage tray, and reinstall the storage tray into the vehicle.
STEP 5 Pull up the covers on the edges of the rear seat extension to access the cargo hooks. Unbolt and remove the hooks, then remove the rear seat extension from the vehicle.
STEP 9 Pictured is the curved, front side of the Stealthbox® with the woofer facing down as it would in the vehicle, and the orientation of the two Brackets as they would align with the enclosure. Notice the slotted end of the bracket on the right will bolt to the Stealthbox®, but the bracket on the left uses the opposite end. Do not bolt the brackets to the Stealthbox® at this time.
STEP 6 Remove the tool kit from the vehicle. Remove the four bolts that hold the jack bracket to the floor. Two of these factory bolts will be reused.
STEP 10 Drop the Stealthbox® into position by angling the round end through the access hole in the storage tray.
STEP 7 Remove the bolt that holds the jack bracket to the horizontal rail, then remove the jack and jack bracket from the vehicle. Reinstall the rear seat extension and cargo hooks.
STEP 11 Lift up on the rear seat extension and locate the two forward most jack bracket mounting holes. This image is taken from the rear seat looking down at the front edge of the Stealthbox®. Recall the orientation of the brackets from Step 9. Using a 1/4” - 20 x 1 Bolt, a 1/4” Lock Washer, and a 1/4” Flat Washer, attach a Bracket to the Stealthbox®, and hand tighten. Use the factory bolt to attach the Bracket to the floor of the vehicle, and hand tighten.

SB-T-SEQ2/13TW5v2 INSTR_SKU# 011326 STEP 12 Repeat the procedure in Step 11 for the second bracket, then firmly tighten all four bolts. Attach speaker cable to the enclosure and route the cable as necessary.

JL Audio recommends high quality amplifiers such as the JL Audio XD600/1v2. The diagram below shows the recommended crossover setting for the XD600/1v2. If another amplifier is being used, please reference this illustration and use similar settings on that amplifier.
All JL Audio amplifiers are very versatile audio components. Please consult the owner’s manual for even more detailed information about installing and tuning your amplifier. STEP 14 Reinstall the cargo floor panel, and fold up the rear seats.
CONNECTIONS Using quality power, signal, and speaker wire is essential in ensuring the performance of your Stealthbox®. JL Audio recommends using a 4 AWG power kit such as the XD-PCS4-1B for your Stealthbox® amplifier. Other kits are available should you be using more than one amplifier. Signal wire such as the JL Audio Premium Audio Interconnect Cables should be used to provide signal for both channels of the amplifier. JL Audio recommends using 12AWG speaker wire for subwoofers such as our XC-BCS12-25. MID/HIGH FREQUENCY DRIVER FITMENT A variety of JL Audio coaxial and component systems will fit in the factory speaker locations of you vehicle.
