Super-Simple Installation and Operation At almost a meter wide, the SBT-200 is designed to spread audio from very large flat-panel TVs deep and wide into your room. Low-profile styling allows for discreet positioning under your display, while shallow depth suits wall-mounting applications. Compatible with Dolby® Digital Dolby Digital is a high quality audio format commonly encoded on DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, and in HDTV broadcasts. Compatible TVs can pass Dolby Digital audio through to the SBT-200 for detailed and immersive 48 kHz playback enhanced even further with your choice of DSP sound mode.

Direct Mode Some listeners prefer their sound straight up. Onkyo includes a Direct mode which bypasses DSP correction for completely natural performance, which can be useful for certain kinds of content.
Selectable Surround Sound Mode Proprietary DSP technology produces a remarkably convincing surround-sound effect, particularly for movies and TV programs that contain complex audio information. Dialog floats in the center of the audio image while directional effects wrap around the room, immersing you deeper into the action. You can switch the surround-sound mode on or off using the remote controller.
