Precaution & Safety Guidelines Please read carefully the user’s manual and check the specification of each devices prior to installation. Please turn OFF the power of the units prior to installation. Do not drop the device or subject it to vibration. It may cause any malfunction of the device. Avoid installing nearby strong magnetic materials or radio frequency such as wireless electronic equipments as radio or TV. Do not use the device when any smoke or smell is produced from the unit. It may be subject to fire or electric shock. If any smoke or smell is produced, please turn off the unit and remove the power cable immediately, and contact your distributor for repair. If the power is not ON, please check whether the power cable is connected correctly or not. Please use only our approved power supply unit (power adapter) 48VDC/1A provided together with the package. Do not connect any other cable besides the coaxial cable. When the cable is not connected correctly, the unit may not work properly and/or it may produce a short circuit, and also it may influence to the entire CCTV connection system. Therefore, please turn on the power only after the cables are connected correctly. If any short circuit is produced or the cable is connected inappropriately, check the cable connection and solve the short circuit before turning on the unit again. If the video is not displayed when the power is on, please check if the video input and/or output port are connected correctly. For 4 ch and 8 ch video transmission solutions, be sure of connecting the VIDEO OUT harness to the DVR, and connecting the BNC connector (SIGNAL IN) with the coaxial cable. Please turn on the power only if the transmitter and the receiver are connected properly. If the device is not working properly, please contact your distributor.

1. INTRODUCTION 1-1. OVERVIEW Using our video and power transmission solutions over the single coaxial cable, it is possible to transmit high quality video signals for fairly long distance by modulating the original signals to the signals with has powerful interference immunity, and also it is possible to supply power to the camera through the same coaxial cable simultaneously. As it is unnecessary to do power wiring work, you can reduce the term of work and material cost.
1-2. FEATURES • Various models provided depending on the installation condition Per Channels: 1CH/ 4CH/ 8CH Per Power consumption of the camera: 6W, 15W, 25W • Long distance video transmission and supply power to camera over the single coaxial cable • Excellent interference immunity • Small size, providing harness cable for easy installation • Keeping the video signals against the interception (Impossible to intercept and monitoring the video without the receiver) • Auto diagnostics for cable and auto restoration for power supply (Patent No. 10-0950741: Video and power transmission system with stable power supply)
• Auto video distance adjustment • Surge protection function

3-4. PRECAUTION & TROUBLESHOOTING SYMPTOMS CHECK POINT AND SOLUTION LED indicator of receivers • Please check the power cord at the backside of is not working after receiver power is on. • Check the Transmitter connection • Check the short circuit or disconnection of the cable. • When the power adaptor is not working due to the short circuit of the cable, please remove the short circuits and then connect again the power adaptor. VIDEO LOSS Normally, the receiver shut down the power when there is a short circuit of the cable. But, sometimes the power adaptor may operate the OCP (Over Current Protection)* function before the receiver does. • Check the Camera (Ex.: using our Portable test monitor SC-LFC56L)
Release Version 1.7
INTERFERENCE IS NOT REDUCED
RED LED is turn on
• Please check whether you use the standard coaxial cable or not. • Please check the connection of the coaxial cable and the BNC connection status. • Check whether the video input port is connected with an RCA cable besides a coaxial cable. • The cable is disconnected or a short circuit was produced under 300m. Please check the cable.
* OCP (Over Current Protection) Function: The power adaptor has the OCP function in order to protect from excessive current flow when there is short circuit of the coaxial cable. Our VP solutions are designed to stop supplying power when there is a short circuit of the cable. But, some adaptors may operate the OCP function, before the receiver does, turning off the power of the receiver. In this case, the receiver will work again when you supply power to the unit after the short circuit problem is solved.
4. MAX. TRANSMISSION DISTANCE PER CABLE 4-1. IN CASE OF SC-VCP06XX Please note that the video and power transmission distance may vary depending on the installation condition such as the cable loop resistance, the power of the camera and so on. Cable Power Distance Power Out Video Distance 3C-2V 400m 12VDC 500mA 400m RG-59 600m 12VDC 500mA 600m RG-6 (5C-2V) 1Km 12VDC 500mA 1Km • The maximum power output is up to 12VDC / 500mA per each channel. • In case of SC-VRP0604(H), when the total supplied power for the 4 cameras is over 20W, some cameras may not work properly. • In case of SC-VRP0608, when the total supplied power for the 4 cameras from ch #1 to ch #4 or from ch #5 to ch #8 is over 20W, some cameras may not work properly. • Please note that video transmission performance may vary depending on the camera, cable, cable length and so on. • If the units fail to work properly, please contact your distributor.
