Features Convert paper documents into electronic data The Scan Accessory Kit performs OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on scanned paper documents, and converts character information to electronic data. Simply set the desired file format and language using the control panel and initiate the scan as normal. Once the document has been converted to the requested format, it is possible to edit and search the text as you would in any electronic file.
Extensive file format and language recognition Due to the number of supported file formats, it is possible to create documents in a variety of commonly used formats such as Word, Excel, and searchable PDF, thereby streamlining workflow.
Automatic character orientation correction The orientation of characters in a document is detected during the OCR processing and if necessary, the rotation correction is automatically applied for each page.
In addition, the Scan Accessory Kit can recognise up to 21 different languages including English, German, French, Greek, Russian and Japanese.
