Request for Airport Apron, Concourse & Mezzanine Level Temporary Power & Lighting Plan
Apron Level
Ericson received a request to scope out the temporary power and lighting for part of an expansion and facility improvements to an International Airport. The construction project was primarily on the Terminal Expansion including apron, concourse and mezzanine levels. Ericson offered their complimentary schematic design layout services to assist specifying the correct temporary power and lighting products needed to ensure a reliable and safe work environment for the project. The project consisted of running power from two sources:
Mezzanine Level
1. Tower Power Crane at 480V/3 phase/200 amp 2. Existing duct bank with 4, 4” conduits back to a 480v transformer.
The power sources were located at two different areas outside of the apron terminal. Ericson was able to feed power to Oscar Temporary Power Boxes to feed x number of stringlights and heavy duty lighting. For safety
reasons, cable protectors were added to the specifications as an option.
This job required to provide temporary power supply to three floors. Ericson was able to place Oscar-GWO’s as the main power source. Stringlights and LED work lights were placed set to electrical safety standards.

U.S. company requested Ericson to provide temporary power and lighting solutions for the construction of four new data centers. Ericson received drawings for the main floor/s & Penthouse floor/s which were all identical. Above you can see our schematic design layout which was created to set the baylites, stringlights, cordsets and our version of a spider box, the GWO for temporary power and lighting distribution.

The overall challenge was custom cord sets and the need for custom temporary lighting solutions. The contractor had certain energy requirements for lighting products and the endB user was extremely specific in having high quality products for the job site. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED

Ericson provided a temporary lighting layout, and offered additional product sources for temporary power and electrical safety. The implementation led to ordering of the temporary lighting and the customer is currently evaluating other products. By offering a schematic layout request, the customer saved time with the complimentary layout solution and was able to quickly implement temporary lighting on the job site with high quality products.
