Instructor-Led Education Courses Overview
EVault I: Manage Backup/Restore Agents on Your Servers Intended for system or backup administrators, or other professionals, who need to schedule backups and perform restores. This two-day instructor-led, hands-on course provides a general overview of EVault backup solutions, focusing on using the EVault Portal interface for managing backup agents and plugins for different platforms and applications. These platforms and applications include Microsoft Windows, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft SQL Server. You also get access to EVault’s library of Self-Paced Technical Courses. EVault II: Manage Your Own Backup Vaults Intended for system or backup administrators, or other professionals, who will work with EVault’s backup vaults. This two-day instructor-led, hands-on course focuses on vault installation, configuration, management, replication, seeding, troubleshooting, and EVault Portal installation and management. You also get access to EVault’s library of Self-Paced Technical Courses. EVault Training and Certification Bundle This four-day instructor-led, hands-on training bundle combines all of the EVault I and II course lectures and labs. It is the fastest way to learn how to install and manage EVault Agents and vaults, and become an EVault Certified Technical Specialist. Students attending this training bundle may attempt–without additional fees–the EVault Certified Technical Specialist exam. You also get access to EVault’s library of Self-Paced Technical Courses. EVault Endpoint Protection: Install and Manage This three-day instructor-led, hands-on course focuses on deploying EVault Endpoint Protection endpoint agents, setting protection policies, handling endpoint disasters, and managing EVault Endpoint Protection vaults and local network caching devices. EVault Content Archiving: Install and Manage This two-day instructor-led, hands-on course provides a general overview of EVault Content Archiving and how it differs from EVault backup and restore products. The course focuses on deploying and configuring the EVault Content Archiving solution to manage email, file, and SharePoint archives. You will learn to configure archive rules, perform real-time archiving, and manage client archiving options.

EVault I: Manage Backup/Restore Agents on Your Servers This two-day instructor-led, hands-on course provides a general overview of EVault backup solutions, focusing on using the EVault Portal interface for managing backup agents and plugins for different platforms and applications. These platforms and applications include Microsoft Windows, VMware vSphere, Microsoft HyperV, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft SQL Server. Intended Audience The EVault I course is designed for system or backup administrators, EVault partners in a technical role, or other professionals, who need to schedule backups and perform restores. EVault customers will use the information that they learn in this course to add EVault agents to new servers, create new backup jobs, schedule those jobs, set backup retention policies, monitor backup jobs, and perform restores. EVault partners will use the information to conduct proof-of-concept installations, answer customer questions, or help their customers with their initial installations.

Student Prerequisites Before attending, students should: Be able to use a Microsoft Windows user interface Have basic Microsoft Windows system administration skills o Install and remove software, query or change network settings, understand the functions of Active Directory Understand spoken and written English, unless told otherwise by a representative of EVault Education Services
System and Network Requirements Publically scheduled classes in the Americas and Asia Pacific are delivered online using WebEx and a remote lab environment. Each student will require a computer with a keyboard, screen, pointing device, and a network interface with sufficient bandwidth to be able to access a WebEx session and a remote lab environment over the Internet. Having two screens available is helpful but not required. Classes delivered in Europe are typically delivered in-person in a classroom location.
Role in Certification Participating in this class and performing its lab exercises meets one of the requirements for becoming an EVault Certified Technical Specialist. You must also attend EVault II: Manage Your Own Backup Vaults and pass the EVault Certified Technical Specialist exam.
Supplemental Materials A student whose fee has been paid will be given access to the EVault Education Services Self-Paced Technical Courses. These labs give students: Step-by-step, detailed instructions guiding them through the use of many of the features and capabilities of EVault software An account in an EVault-supplied lab environment with virtual machines pre-configured for use with those instructions

EVault II: Manage Your Own Backup Vaults This two-day instructor-led, hands-on course focuses on vault installation, configuration, management, replication, seeding, and troubleshooting. It also includes Portal installation and management.
Intended Audience The EVault II course is designed for system or backup administrators, EVault partners in a technical role, or other professionals, who need to install or manage EVault Vaults. EVault customers will use the information they learn here to install, configure, manage, and monitor standalone vaults, replicated vaults, and satellite vaults. They will also learn how to seed backup data or support disaster recovery using portable storage devices or Quick Ship Mobile vaults. Customers will also learn how to install the EVault Portal, create sites, site users, site policies, and vault profiles. EVault partners will use the information to conduct proof-of-concept installations, answer customer questions, or help their customers with their initial installations.

Intended Audience The EVault Endpoint Protection course is designed for system or backup administrators, EVault partners in a technical role, or other professionals, who need to install or manage EVault Endpoint Protection. EVault customers will use the information they learn here to deploy agents in a variety of ways (including via group policy), effectively manage protection policies, understand how to protect and restore endpoint systems, and install and configure an EVault Endpoint Protection vault and local network caching devices. EVault partners will use the information to conduct proof-of-concept installations, answer customer questions, or help their customers with their initial installations.
