SC-1000 WebStar General Outlines
General SC-1000 WebStar is the entry level system of SEAWING, designed to meet the demands on access control systems to be installed and managed easily, with the maximum possible flexibility on tags (cards) and readers to use, also to be capable of controlling a wide variety of electronically controllable access blocking devices. To make it really simple to manage, there is no need to install software on PCs as it has a built-in WEB server manageable via WEB.
Capabilities SC-1000 Webstar is capable of controlling up to 16 access points with 2 readers of each, 32 access points equipped with one reader of each, and a combination in between. To build-up larger access control systems, SEAWING offers its SIS systems, where there is no limit for the size of the systems. All hardware components of SC-1000 WebStar can be used when upgrading the system for SiS. This concept opens the possibility for a low cost upgrading.
Applicable ID tag types – compatible readers Practically, all commonly available ID tag readers can be managed by the system. e.g.: MIFARE, HID, Indala, EM, UHF, Hyper-X, etc.
Applicable electronically controllable access blocking devices e.g.: magnetic strikes, turnstiles, speed gates, barriers, etc.
Operation The access control modules communicate the events immediately to the controller on the CAN bus. Events are processed by the controller and it responds on them according to the rules stored in it. After processing the event, the controller sends commands to the modules via the CAN bus requesting them for the adequate reaction. Continuous connections between the controller and the modules are required for the correct operation. Time-stamps, provided by the controller, are added to the events and they also stored in its memory for further processing, creating reports. Setup is done via the WEB server utilizing a standard internet browser.

WEB Management SC-1000 WebStart is designed to have an on Operator platform (samples) board WEB server to run the application software. It provides the required software tools and services Assigning access authorisations to set up and operate the system via an internet browser. SC-1000 WebStar application software services have an elegant graphics platform. When in operation, SC-1000 WebStar can practically be accessed from any kind of IT networks. To do so, you need the appropriate network settings and access path. Interconnection between the SC-1000 WebStar and the PC can be made by connecting them to the Setting up time zones same IT network or by using an Ethernet cross cable. SC-1000 WebStar can be started from any Internet browser. (Flash Player is required.) Type in the followings into the search line of your Internet browser: http://IP address For the first occasion: http://10.100.100.1
Communications language of the WEB server
SC-1000 WebStar has memory space for two Events report languages to choose from for its operator platform. One of them is English, as standard, and the other one is optional. A language manager to translate the operator platform to different languages is also available for SC-1000 WebStar (translator software, users guide and the assembly of phrase definitions applied). With the help of these, the operator platform can be prepared for to take a new language beside the Firmware upgrade English. For to help the translation, each window of the operator platform has a unique identifier displayed at the upper left-hand corner.
Additional services of the WEB server Following chart provides a summary of the WEB server services available by user authentications (guard, administrator, supervisor, and installer).

All devices use cryptographic communications between the reader and the tag/card via ABA/Wiegand or serial interface. Cryptographic communications between the controller and the reader is optional and can only be applied for devices with serial interface. For high security systems, they offer tamper protection and continuous presence monitoring as an option. The readers can be installed on flat wall surface but also prepared to be installed on Ø60 electrical wall boxes too.
Recognised and managed tag (card) types • MIFARE Plus 1K, 4K Note: Various models of these devices can recognise MifarePlus S/X, DESFire EV1 tags and cards, and in addition, some of the models can even write on them.
