Blue Hill also offers replication to an off‐site location, disaster recovery, and business continuity for smaller and medium size businesses. This gives you the peace of mind you need knowing your business data is secure and can be restored at our facility in the event of a disaster. Your business can now receive the same service as a larger company with their own IT department through Blue Hill. Should you require access to your backup resources, Blue Hill can restore your data to your current or new servers, or bring you up online at our location in the event your location is down. The Blue Hill solution simply involves your backup data being sent periodically from your business to our data center’s on‐line vault via a secure Internet route using state‐of‐the‐art backup technology. Blue Hill installs a small software agent on your server and identifies the data to be protected utilizing a user‐ friendly web interface. Using a broadband connection such as DSL or T1 line, Blue Hill first performs a full backup of all files on the server you wish to protect. From then on data is continuously backed up as it is created or changed. Such small data transmissions pose no performance issues for your network. In addition, for added protection, the data is encrypted prior to transmission and storage at an off‐site storage facility.
