The unit is designed for simple operation to provide the maximum protection for you, your family or business. LCD DISPLAY DESCRIPTION The LCD display time (24 hours format), system status “ABCDS” (maximum 4 characters) and zone status (Z1 to Z12). 10 : 12 : 00 ACBS 123456789012 SECURA 1 2 3 * STAY 4 5 6 0 BYPS 7 8 9 # INST ▲ ▼ ? The meaning of “ABCDS” are : Description of System Status characters First Character Second Character Third Character Fourth Character Character A/D C / “Blank” B / “Blank” S / “Blank” Description System ARMED / DISARMED CHIME Enabled / Disabled Some zones are “Bypassed” / No zone is “Bypassed” System trouble* / No system trouble is found Note (*): if system trouble(s) is / are present, user can enter [*][4] to check the system status. The following events can make the system trouble status appear: 1) Battery low or disconnected. 2) AC Power Loss. 3) Communication to user or CMS not successful. 4) System date / time not set. 5) Siren disconnected. 5 SYSTEM CODES The 1st being the Master code [1234-by default] and the last code, 15th if programmed, having the Ambush capability. USER CODES The 1st user code (Master code): programmed [1234] by default. Using the Master code, one can operate the system and change / delete the other User codes. The Master code allows Arming, Disarming, Bypassing / Un-bypassing zones, Program / Delete user codes, Program / Delete phone number, Set system date and time. The 2nd – 14th User codes: not programmed by default. The User codes allow Arming, Disarming, Bypassing / Un-bypassing zones only. The 15th User code has the Ambush capability and is not programmed by default. If this code is used for arming / disarming the control panel, the system will record an Ambush type event. In case the system is connected to CMS by means of a phone line or mobile phone, it will transmit this special code to the CMS as well. Thus, the dispatcher will be made aware that arming / disarming was done under threat. In order to modify the User codes, Master code included, use one of the commands: [*][7][master code]. INFO KEY – [ ? ] If the user forgot the key function, he/she can enter the INFO KEY [?] and use “UP [▲] or DOWN [▼] key to browse a quick key reference. Press [#] key to exit. www.accesscontrol.com.my *0 – Quick Arm *1 – Quick I / S Arm *2 – Quick S Arm *3 – 1 or 2 PGM1 or 2 On / Off *4 – System Status *5 – Event Memory *6 – Chime En / Disable *7 – [Code] – Mast. Setup 1+3 Emergency 4+6 Panic 7+9 Fire 6 ARMING -- [x][x][x][x] or [x][x][x][x][x][x] To arm the system, enter a 4 or 6-digit User code. After each key pressed, the keypad buzzer sounds a short beep. After entering a valid User code, LCD will be indicated “Armed” for a second and the keypad buzzer will sound 3 beeps. If the User code is incorrect, the keypad buzzer will sound a long error beep. Press the [#] key and then enter the User code again. After entering any valid user codes, the exit timer will be started. The 1st character “A” will be shown at the right top corner of LCD. The user must then proceed to the exit door. If there are any User bypassed zones in the system, the “X” will be shown. After the exit time has expired, which “A” and “X”, reflecting the armed status of the system and the existence of user bypassed zone in the system respectively. If User entered more than 10 times incorrect user code, the Keypad panel will be locked for 10 minutes when keylock option is enabled. INSTANT STAY ARMING – [INST][STAY][USER CODE] Where INSTANT and STAY are the keys [INST] and [STAY]. This arming mode is used for perimeter protection. Thus the User can stay inside the protected area and no one should come in from outside. In this arming mode, the keypad buzzer will sound 3 beeps. Then, the system automatically bypasses the zones that have the “STAY” attribute enabled by programming. These zones should be the ones inside the premises, also being called “Interior zones”. The zones not having the “STAY” attribute enabled by programming are called perimeter zones. If programming has enabled the option of buzzer sounding during exit time, then the keypad buzzer will sound warning beeps. In this arming mode, upon expiry of the exit time, the zones programmed as perimeter entry / exit (delayed) type will trigger the alarm as soon as they are violated (they will turn to instant zones). If there are zones that have the “STAY” attribute enabled by programming (or if there are User bypassed zones in the system) the “X” will be displayed at the LCD. Note: As during such an arming the access into the building is not allowed through the entry / exit zones, the Users inside the building can only do system disarming. STAY ARMING – [STAY][USER CODE] Where STAY is the [STAY] key This arming mode is also used for perimeter protection. This time the User stays inside the protected area while access is allowed through the entry / exit zones. In this arming mode (after entering a valid User code within this sequence), the keypad buzzer will sound 3 beeps. The system will then automatically bypass the zone have the Stay attribute enabled by programming (the zones inside the protected area). At the same time, the zones of the perimeter entry / exit type (delayed) will function as usual (if violated during arming, they will 7 trigger the alarm unless a valid User code is entered within the time lapse set for the entry time). If enabled during the programming, the keypad buzzer will sound warning beeps during the exit time. If there are zones that have the STAY attribute enabled by programming (or if there are User bypassed zones in the system), the “X” will be displayed at the LCD. When the exit time is over, the system is stay armed. The entry / exit zones still operate with their corresponding timings. The “A” and “X” will stay on, indicating that the system is Stay armed and there are bypassed zones in the system (either bypassed automatically by the system because they are interior zones, having the Stay attribute enabled or bypassed by user). Any user can get inside the building through the entry / exit zones, and during the entry time he / she can enter his / her own User code (1-15) in order to disarm the system. QUICK AWAY ARMING (ARMING WITHOUT A USER CODE) - [*][0] Quick arming functions allow the system to be quickly armed by User who may not own a User code. You can also use this arming mode when arming the system in the presence of someone who is not to find out the User code. Quick Away Arming is performed by entering one of the sequence [*][0]. After that, the User must leave the premises before the exit time has expired. Once the exit time has expired, the system is entirely armed and the “A” will displayed. QUICK INSTANT STAY ARMING (ARMING WITHOUT A USER CODE) – [*][1] This arming type is similar to INSTANT STAY ARMING. QUICK STAY ARMING (ARMING WITHOUT A USER CODE) – [*][2] This arming type is similar to STAY ARMING. DISARMING / STOPPING THE ALARM – [x][x][x][x] or [x][x][x][x][x][x] To disarm the system, you should enter the protected area through an entry / exit zone. When an entry / exit zone is violated, the entry timer starts. The keypad buzzer will sound a continuous beep during the entry time, reminding the User that the system must be disarmed. After entering the first code digit, the continuous beep will stop, and at each key press the keypad buzzer will sound a short beep. After entering the last digit of a valid User code, the 1st character “A” will be replaced by “D” and the keypad buzzer will sound 3 beeps for disarming confirmation. To visualize the alarms occurred during the respective arming, press [*][5] command. If no alarms occurred during the respective arming, and the “S” is still appeared after disarming, see system trouble status, press [*][4] command. 8 ZONE BYPASSING – [BYPS][ USER CODE] Where “BYPASS” is the [BYPS] key Zone bypassing is necessary in case of a fault detector or troubleshooting is not being allowed because of faulty wiring, where the system needs being armed altogether and access is desired in a zone even with the system armed. The system will ignore the activation of detectors on a bypassed zone. Arming can be done with one or more bypassed zones, even if the sensors on these zones are activated. After entering the [BYPS][USER CODE], the “Zone Bypass” and zone number 1 to 12 displayed following by sound 3 beeps. To bypass a zone press the corresponding number and the corresponding number will turn off. To un-bypass a zone, press the corresponding number and the corresponding number will turn on again. If some zones were previously bypassed, the “X” and the corresponding will stay on (while the corresponding zones remain bypassed). Note: Zone 10 = [0], Zone 11 = [*][1] and Zone 12 = [*][2]. Exit zone bypass mode by pressing [#] key. SYSTEM TROUBLES DISPLAY – [*][4] The system permanently monitors several internal conditions for its proper functioning, such as: Item 1 Trouble Battery low voltage 2 AC power loss 3 Unsuccessful communication to CMS 4 Date and time not programming 5 Bell trouble Description If the battery is disconnected or its voltage is low, this display will clear 30 seconds after the battery minimum loading voltage has been restored. If AC power is missing or transformer is burnt, display will clear instantly after this problem has been solved. If the alarm system failed to transmit events to the CMS. The display will clear after exiting this display mode. This will display upon powering the system and will be off immediately after programming the system’s date and time. The system’s date and time are necessary for the correct recording of all events in the control system’s memory. If wiring between the siren and the system is cut-off or if, during siren activating period, there is an overload on the siren control wire, display will off when the siren is re-connected or the overload is removed. If system trouble status is shown in LCD display, a beep sound will be generated every 30 seconds to remind User to fix the problem(s) as soon as possible. It will be stopped once all problems are fixed. Exit system trouble display by pressing [#] key. 9 MEMORY DISPLAY – [*][5] To view the User program / modify the system, alarms occurred in the system since the last arming. By pressing the [▲] or [▼] key, you can see the next event occurred up to 448 events. Exit the Alarm Memory Display mode by pressing [#] key. CHIME FEATURE ON / OFF – [*][6] Chime feature enabled / disabled display on LCD is performed only if the system is disarmed by entering the command. Once the Chime feature is enabled, the 2nd character “C” will be displayed at right top corner of the LCD and any zone with programmed “chime” attribute if opened while system are disarmed, causes the keypad buzzer to sound 3 beeps.
