GEF-MOD-8FO-R Extend up to eight DVI sources to the Gefen Modular Matrix over Fiber Optic cable up to 6600 feet (2000 meters) The Gefen PRO 8 FO fiber optic input module can be installed in any or all of the input slots on the Gefen PRO Modular Matrix family. Use the Gefen PRO DVI Extender over 1 FO Sender unit to extend DVI signals up to 6600 feet (2000 meters) from the source to the Modular Matrix. When using GEF-DVIRS232-1FO-S Sender units, the Gefen PRO Modular Matrix can also provide Serial control for the source or any other RS-232 controlled device located near the Sender unit. How It Works Connect a DVI source to each 1FO Sender unit. Power down the Modular Matrix and disconnect it from the electrical outlet. Install the 8FO Receiver module into an available input slot on the Gefen PRO Modular Matrix. Connect one strand of multimode SC-terminated fiber optic cable between each Sender unit and each fiber optic connector on the Receiver module. If using a GEF-DVIRS232-1FO-S, connect a DB-9 RS-232 cable from the Sender unit to the source or another device that needs to be controlled. Connect the included power supply to the Sender unit and to an available electrical outlet. Reconnect the matrix to electrical outlets. Power up sources, displays, and the Gefen PRO Modular Matrix.
