Power zoom for professional results The power zoom uses Handycam® technology to produce smooth zoom effects that are difficult to achieve manually. It's silent too, so you won't spook your subjects, while the built-in zoom lever lets you maintain a consistent zoom speed.

Capture smooth, blur-free images Built-in Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilisation within the lens ensures smooth, blur-free photos and videos when shooting handheld.

Smooth defocusing Instead of a standard polygon-shaped lens aperture, this lens features a 7-blade circular aperture for more natural, rounded defocusing or ‘bokeh’.

Refined optical performance Aspherical lens elements minimise distortion while ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements provide superior contrast, resolution, and colour fidelity.

Fast, agile focusing An internal focusing mechanism means the length of the lens remains constant, enabling easy handling, fast autofocusing, and a short minimum focusing distance. In addition, the filter thread at the front of the lens does not rotate – an asset when using a polarizing filter.
