INTRODUCTION
FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Nowadays, remote facilities and management are based on modem connections to telephone network. This means that a single site is necessary to equip as many analog lines and modems as systems or eqipments to be controlled. The operation and maintenance cost related to the solution of multiple lines do not make the perfect solution for these kind of situations. Besides, all the systems connected to these analog lines do not use the connection all the time, which is perfect to share a single link with various systems.
The serial Data Diffusion Machine (DSD-04) is designed so that multiple computers with RS232/RS-485 connection shall share a single link (port 0) with modem for RTC, GSM or pointpoint.
Nexcon Telecommunications, within the area of telecommunications equipment companies and responding to the needs of our customers in terms of functionality and operational equipment for analog connection, GSM or point to point, owns a system that allows multiple computers to share asynchronous RS-232/RS-485 over a single modem.
The system has a total of four ports (PORT 1 to 4) for an asynchronous operation up to 115200bps. These four ports can share the same systems connected to PORT 0. The operating mode of the system is based on the received data by the PORT 0. It is distributed equally and without delay to the four output ports. Just one of the devices connected to PORTS 1 to 4 will respond to the received data, sending the the response towards PORT 0. In the back, there is a total of four female DB-9 connectors to connect computers, robots or any device with asynchronous connection. The last port has a DB-9 male connector.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Data Interfaces • Four DB-9/RJ45 female connectors (port 1 to 4). To connect equipment / terminal with RS232/RS485 asynchronous interface. • A male DB-9 Male connector (PORT 0). To connect a terminal (modem, etc,.) with RS232 interface.
