ABOUT THE e-CENTRE The e-centre is based at Saturnus Primary School and offers staff and community training. It also assist the school during school hours with information and communication technology (ICT) Saturnus e-Centre training for learners. The teachers use the e-centre for research for school projects. The Saturnus e-centre is located in Toekomsrus, Oudtshoorn, a town in the Western Cape. With 80 336 residents, it is the largest town in the Little Karoo region. The town is home to the world’s largest ostrich population, with a number of specialized ostrich breeding farms, such as the Safari Show Farm and the Highgate Ostrich Show Farm. Oudtshoorn is known for the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, which attracts people from all over the country. The local community is a big part of the success of this festival every year.

Success stories My Life Changing Decision To achieve success you have to begin somewhere. Cape Access and Saturnus E-Centre offered the opportunity and I grabbed it with One of the ICDL both my hands because students graduated above all the ICDL course was FREE. The facilitators by names Mr Eric Jacobs and Ms Stephanie Wessels have made sacrifices by spending a lot of time giving us classes in the afternoon to accommodate us to broaden our knowledge in the computer world. In November 2012 while I was still busy with ICDL training I could apply for a job and mentioned it in my Curriculum Vitae and I got the job in January 2013. To my surprise I had to implement all 7 Modules I did with the ICDL course. Now “Spread sheets, Database, Research on the internet and emailing" is becoming part of my daily life at work and even at home. And I’m willingly and confident spreading my knowledge that I’ve learned to my fellow colleagues and students. Today I can say with pride that my ICDL Certificate opened doors for me and I would like to encourage others to make use of the course you won’t regret it. I write my success to ICDL.
