© Andrew Valkenburg Setting up the Cambo Ultima D for tethered shooting Connect the power plugs of computer and power adapter to the same electricity group (best use the quadruple outlet fitted underneath the desk of the computer kart) Connect the female 12-pins plug of the shutter control to the male plug of the camera lens (mind the red dots) Plug the other thick cable of the shutter control into the digital back (IN) When using flash, connect the remaining (thin) cable to a sync cord Start up the computer Plug the firewire cable from the computer into the digital back, carefully and in the right way (watch the picture) Start up PHOCUS. Click the CAPTURE tab and tick the box of Enable camera control. The capture symbol should be clear (not grayed out) and you should hear the shutter make some noise when setting the desired aperture ! When the connection fails or gets lost, try removing and (carefully) reconnecting the firewire cable Still no connection? Close PHOCUS. Press the Menu button (the one with the dot) of the digital back, navigate to Settings, Camera and check if the body is set to Schneider; if not: change! © Andrew Valkenburg What does this button do? When using Live View, the red button of the shutter control lets you cycle through these three states: 1. Shutter open, Aperture completely open 2. Shutter open, Aperture stopped down to the value set in Phocus’ CAPTURE tab 3. Shutter closed
