Summary of Mobile Device Support McDonald’s support is limited to providing configuration settings for the following mobile device platforms:
Apple iOS (iPad/iPhone) Blackberry Google Android Windows Mobile 7.5
Microsoft Exchange 2010 uses a technology called Exchange ActiveSync to establish email connections with mobile devices. Depending on the mobile device, the information required to establish the connection may include any combination of the following settings:
Domain Name: o For Partners Mail (MSO): NARest o For Store Mail: Corp Email Address: Outlook Web Access URL: https://mail.mcd.com Server Name: mail.mcd.com User Name: Password:

Note:
When using a mobile device with Exchange 2010, mail is synchronized with the servers when a connection is established. This means if a message is deleted or filed in a folder using the mobile device, the same action will take place on the server.

Setting Up Android Devices using Exchange NOTE:
The directions below were created using a device running Android OS 2.3.x. Depending on the version of the Android OS running on your mobile device and/or your mobile service carrier, some of the icons may look different on your device.
1. Select the Launcher icon to display the Applications menu.
2. From the Application menu, select the Settings icon.

3. From the Settings menu, select the “Accounts & sync” listing.
4. In the Accounts & sync settings, click Add account.

5. When asked “What type of account…”, select the Exchange account button.
6. When the “Add an Exchange account” window appears, type into the first field. 7. In the second field, type . 8. Click the Next Button.

9. When the “Server settings” window appears, type \ into the Domain\Username field.
13. Use the “Amount to synchronize” drop down menu to determine the amount of mail syncs with your mobile device. 14. Click the Next button.

Setting Up the Apple iPad/iPhone using Exchange NOTE: The directions below apply to the Apple iPad/iPhone running iOS 3.1.2 and later versions. Your iPad/iPhone must have Apple iOS 5 in order to sync Tasks.
1. From the iPhone main screen, select the Settings icon.
2. From the Settings screen, select the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” listing.

3. From the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” screen, select the “Add Account…” listing.

10. After an initial verification process, the Server field will appear with mail.mcd.com pre-entered.
14. Once the process completes, “Account added” will display at the top of the window.
11. Once the Server information appears, click the Next button.

12. Select the On option for both the Mail and Calendars settings.

16. When messages are received, the Mail icon will display the number of new messages. 17. Select the Mail icon to open the inbox.

Setting Up the Blackberry using Exchange NOTE: The directions below are used to create a Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) account via the Email Setup application on the Blackberry device. 1.
Open Email Settings on your BlackBerry.
2.
Click Set up another email account.

Choose Other from the list of options.

In the Email Address box, type .

In the Email Password box, type .

Use the Show Password to ensure your password was entered correctly.

Click Continue.
8.
If the BlackBerry Internet Service indicates that there was a problem, select “I will provide the settings.”

Select Outlook Web Access (Exchange).
10. In the Outlook Web Access URL box, type https://mail.mcd.com 11. In the User name box, type \. Ex. Corp\us-sm.rmcdonald or NARest\us-rmcdonald 12.
In the Mailbox name box, type \. Ex. Corp\us-sm.rmcdonald or NARest\us-rmcdonald
13. Click Continue. 14. The email account should then be successfully added.

Setting Up Windows 7.5 Mobile Device using Exchange NOTE: Policies let you set a password on your mobile phone and use a remote device wipe to clear all data from your mobile phone in case the phone is lost or stolen. 1. Tap Settings icon and select E-mail and Accounts. 2. Tap Add an Account and select Outlook. 3. In the Email box, type 4. In the Password field, type 5. Click Sign In a.
