This sophisticated but easy-to-use hospitality terminal allows users to enjoy all of the benefits of a closed EPOS solution. The powerful POS application has been developed by Sharp to produce a mature and comprehensive system that perfectly matches the hardware platform. The compact UP-700 can be used independently or as part of a network of terminals courtesy of a standard TCP/IP Ethernet network (when fitted with the optional Ethernet card). A system can be configured in a simple Master/Slave configuration without the need for a ‘back-office’ system or can be linked to a third party ‘back-office’ system for centralised control from the desktop.

Additionally, the UP-700 can be mixed on the same network for combined retail and hospitality operations with its retail sister terminal, the UP-600. Quiet and fast integral thermal printing helps support improved transaction times with the minimum of fuss, while customers will appreciate the large, back-lit LCD display, which enables the operator to read eight lines of a transaction clearly and quickly.
