SilverBack-II Fiber-Optic Transceivers The MultiDyne family of SilverBack–II camera-mounted transceivers capture images from SD to 4K and beyond that extend the range of any HD/4K camera system, reduce weight and save time and money. The newest member is the SilverBack 4K5™ Fiber-Optic System for 4K Quad-Link 3G Camcorders. The SilverBack family of camera-mounted fiber transport solutions now supports the “systemization” any existing 4K camera. IT enables users to broaden the range of their existing 4K cameras by converting any quad-link 4K camcorder to a 4K live fully systemized camera, connected to a base station with a single fiber cable. By putting all of the signals needed for multi-camera 4K/UHD TV production onto a single tactical or SMPTE hybrid fiber cable, the system ensures robust, trouble-free connectivity, whether used in the studio or at a remote location.
Features:
§§One RU Base Station §§Five 1.5 or 3Gb/s HD-SDI signals one way and one SDI-HD/SDI Return path §§Two channels of audio §§Two channels of Intercom §§Two channels of Data §§RCP Control §§Time Code §§Tally
SMPTE–HUT Universal Camera Transceiver The MultiDyne SMPTE–HUT system is a universal fiber-optic camera transceiver designed to free cameras from the limitations of hybrid cabling. Not only will you achieve transmission distances that are simply impossible over hybrid copper/fiber cables, you will also benefit from the absence of RF, EMI and grounding issues, faster set and strike times and lighter OB Vans, B–units and cable shipments. The HUT comes in two versions: the 3000 and the 3000+. For most customers the standard 3000 will do. But for users who have long lenses and other power consuming accessories, the 300+ provides the extra power required. Between the units can be up to 10km of two single-mode fibers either within tactical cables or within an installed fiber backbone.
Features:
§§Operate SMPTE cameras on plain single-mode fiber §§Take advantage of installed fiber backbone §§Extends distance without sacrificing performance §§Carry less hybrid fiber §§Choice of optical connectors §§Provides camera power for up to 1Km
HD-3500 Series HD/SDI Fiber-Optic Transport Systems The MultiDyne HD3500 Series of stand-alone High Definition Serial Digital Interface (HD-SDI) fiber-optic transport systems are fully compatible with the SMPTE 3G video standard and are available in a number of configurations with different feature sets targeted at specific applications. The units extend the range for sending audio and data signals, combining audio and data along with the HD-SDI signal in a single optical fiber line. Other members of the HD-3500 family include the HD-3521 (3G HD in; Data in/out; Tally in/out; and GPIO in/out) and the HD-3540 (3G HD in as well as AES and analog audio in). HDSDI Transport: HD-3000-II, HD-6000, HD-12000, HD-18000, and SilverBullet The MultiDyne HD-6000 and HD-6000-ONE CWDM multiplexing solutions are available in 12and 18-channel versions. Utilizing a powerful HD trunking solution, users can transport up to six HD-SDI signals per single-mode fiber, making it the most portable and easy-to-use platform for transmitting multiple high-bandwidth signals in harsh operating environments. Designed for OB, fixed facility links, cross-campus networks, and centralized control room applications, the HD-6000 and HD-6000-ONE systems optimize transmission anywhere SDI signals need to be trunked — offering users a compact, cost-effective, multichannel solution for extending SDI transport. Leveraging the HD-6000-ONE, users can input up to six digital signals with data rates of up to 3Gb/sec. The signals are received and then retransmitted at specific CWDM wavelengths and launched into a CWDM mux. The resultant signal travels down a single fiber to the receiver unit where the SDI signals are restored. Because the signals are remapped and retransmitted, users can realize a new optical budget and increased range.
Features:
§§Compact, Cost-Effective, Multichannel Solution §§Transport up to six HD-SDI signals per single-mode fiber §§Configured to accept six signals in one direction, or can be customized as 3x3, 4x2, or 5x1, with the option to be rack-mounted. §§User-friendly OLED display shows optical power levels, laser status and bit-rates.
SilverBullet™ The MultiDyne SilverBullet™ is an economical solution designed for transmission of SD, HD and 3G–SDI signals on single mode fiber. Perfect for today’s professional and broadcast applications. At just three inches in length, this compact, cost–effective solution is ideal for a wide variety of pro A/V and broadcast applications, including video production and editing, ENG with additional uses for sports teleproduction, field production, remote camera links, cross oh–campus production, pre–fibered venues and courtesy feeds. The SilverBullet is designed for simple, single hop, 3G HD SDI fiber optic runs with a clean signal at the start. The set now ships in a compact pelican style carrying case, which holds one transmitter, one receiver, and two power supplies. For additional power, MultiDyne offers a SilverBullet Power Clip that provides the SilverBullet with power via the DC power output on a camera. As other camera-mounted fiber transport systems add additional weight to the camera, they can throw off the center of gravity for a cameraman, making it difficult to operate a camera that is off balance. The SilverBullet Power Clip, when combined with the SilverBullet, provides a small and lightweight 3G HD–SDI fiber transport solution powered by the camera.
Features:
§§An economical solution for the fiber optic transport of 19.4 Mb/s to 3 Gb/s HDTV signals §§Supports the SMPTE 424M 2.97Gbps, SMPTE 292M 1.485 Gb/s and SMPTE 259M 270 Mbps standards §§Typical Link Distance up to 10KM §§Get a 3G HD-SDI SMPTE mini Fiber Optic Link at the cost of a 1.5G link §§Priced at $749 per end including Power Supply and Pelican style case §§Power 5-16 VDC with 4 Pin XLR
