X1103 September 07, 2010 HT-820/9200 REPLACING A SHOULDER MASSAGE ASSEMBLY It is imperative that Human Touch® products are repaired in a manner that ensures product safety and regulatory compliance and that is fully consistent with the practices used during the manufacturing process. Therefore, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these repair instructions. Failure to adhere to these instructions voids the product warranty and releases Human Touch from all liability for injury or product damage resulting from the repair. SERVICE LEVEL: 3 Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver (optional), nail clipper or instrument suitable for cutting zip ties, new zip tie. NOTE: SAVE ALL SCREWS FOR USE DURING REASSEMBLY. REMOVING THE SHOULDER MASSAGE ASSEMBLY 1. Power off the chair then unplug it. 2. Use your fingers to pry the outer panel off the shoulder massage assembly (Fig.1). HINT: You may wish to use a flat-head screwdriver to separate the outer panel from the inner panel. 3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the inner panel to the chair (Fig.2). 4. Disconnect the tube that runs from the backrest into the shoulder massage assembly from the white plastic nipple (Fig.3). 5. Using a nail clipper or other instrument suitable for cutting zip ties, cut the two zip ties on the tube that runs from the backrest to the shoulder massage assembly 6. Remove the inner panel from the chair. (Fig.1) Tube (Fig.2) (Fig.3) 1 Tube INSTALLING THE NEW SHOULDER MASSAGE ASSEMBLY 1. Separate the outer panel of the new shoulder massage assembly from the inner panel. 2. Thread the tube that runs from the backrest through the hole in the inner panel of the shoulder massage assembly, then connect it to the white plastic nipple (Fig.4). 3. Replace the two zip ties to secure the tubing. 4. Replace the four screws to secure the inner panel to the chair (Fig.5). 5. Align the posts on the outer panel with the guides on the inner panel, then snap the outer panel onto the inner panel (Fig.6). 6. Plug in the chair, power it on, then verify that the shoulder massage is working properly.
