UltraView Storage 83 UltraView Additional Storage unit, 64/96 TB, 3U
Overview The UltraView UVS 83 Additional Storage unit is the latest generation storage enhancement to the UltraView Enterprise Video Platform bringing unprecedented extra video storage capacity. The unit is compatible with the UltraView NVR solutions that support full IP camera architecture as well as hybrid systems that consist of a mix of analog and IP cameras. Featuring advanced Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) storage echnology and an open monitoring framework that is well suited for enterprise security challenges, the storage unit is seamlessly connected to UltraView video recorders. Units can be used to extend the local storage of an UltraView ecorder. The UVS 83 is a video storage device featuring 64 TB or 96 TB of internal storage, with its RAID configuration depending on the parent NVR. Up to 4 Storage bays can be added to the NVR 83.

Compared to traditional SCSI and iSCSI storage solutions, the Storage 83’s ultra-reliable connectors and cables are capable of supporting up to 6 Gbps throughput. The new cable design supports cable lengths of up to 10m between devices for improved site management. Reliability is supported via RAID storage with front-accessible hot-swappable drives, redundant hot-swappable power supplies and hot-swappable fan.

Device and drive health monitoring is available via the SDK or hrough UltraView VisioWave Security Center (VSC) software hat provides all video configuration, viewing and management services for the entire customer solution. Additionally, device health is available to network management applications via SNMP traps. Health monitoring includes fan temperature, drive status, RAID status, and power supply voltage.
Proven Performance and Capacity The UltraView Storage 83 series devices are fully tested as part of a complete system solution from encoder/recorder to storage device. The unit is delivered fully configured in a RAID 5 configuration. Fully tested guaranteed performance includes video optimization between the server, storage bays and hard drives with digital video. Hard drives are stress tested with the Storage 83 as a complete solution.
