*Laptop will connect to AV system so that the audience on site can see and hear the person(s) on the other end, however, the person(s) on the other end will only be able to hear and see whoever is in front of the laptop as there aren’t microphones/cameras installed in the room. NOTE: Skype will need to be installed on laptop.
Teleconferencing Teleconferencing is available for calls with more than two people dialling in/out. We can provide a teleconferencing unit. To start a teleconference please follow the instructions below: • • • • •
Press the Meet Me button on the Cisco Conference Mat Keyboard Dial 18795 or 18796 to initiate the conference (a number will be assigned to you by a Victoria Square staff member) Instruct participants to dial in to the conference using this number (x18795/18796 internally and (08) 7221 8795/(08) 7221 8796 externally) An audible “beep” will be heard as new participants join Up to 10 participants can join the conference (including the conference leader)

Videoconferencing Video conferencing enables participants to experience 'face to face' communication with participants at different locations, both nationally and internationally. Available in Boardroom South (Level 11) and Room 1 (Level 1) only. How to setup videoconferencing: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Skype Available in Boardroom South & North and Executive Meeting Room* (Level 11) or in any room provided client supplies a laptop. How to setup Skype: 1. 2. 3.
Turn on AV system > select Rack PC Login to Skype using your own account (no generic account for Victoria Square) If using a laptop you will need to download Skype application. On AV system select laptop input (video will be displayed via data projector and sound via room system. Microphone and camera from the laptop).
Please note that this is an unsupported application, therefore no University AV support is available for any technical issues. *Executive Meeting Room can only be used/booked for Flinders University Senior Executives
Live Streaming/Lecture Recording Face to face lectures and events can be recorded using audio or audio/visual equipment and made available in a variety of methods (i.e. video streaming via the web, audio and video files available for podcast and download). In some instances some lectures are also available as live streams, for relaying to other lecture theatres on campus or remote venues. How to book live streaming/lecture recording: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Wi-Fi Wireless internet access is available to all guests free of charge. Please refer to instructions below: • •
Flinders staff: all staff and students can connect to ‘eduroam’ network using their FAN and password. To organize Wi-Fi access for external guest attending your event, please submit a request via self-service portal. Non-Flinders staff: a Victoria Square staff member will request a login code on your behalf. Codes will be sent to you one day prior to your event. To connect please select ‘Flinders Conference’ network, enter your access code and press accept.
