Grid Box - EX Series The Grid Box Solution is a turn-key, hassle free grid connection solution for PV integrators in all states of Australia. Central to the Grid Box Solution is a set of grid protection switchboards, AKA “Grid Boxes”, that are premanufactured and programmed to meet the specific requirements of each of the Australian DNSPs. The Grid Box is installed between the PV inverters and site’s main switchboard. This provides a “plug and play” solution to secondary protection and grid integration.
CTP provides fixed fees for a complete package of grid connection application, protection equipment, controls, system commissioning and engineering sign-off.
CTP has connected PV systems in every state with roof mount projects up to 500kW and ground mount projects up to 3,520 kW in size.
CTP works to the utility’s demanding standards every day. All protection equipment used is IEC 60255 approved and our Grid Boxes are manufactured according to AS3439.1, AS3000, AS3008, AS60947, AS60898 The Grid Box – EX series offer secondary protection where export is permitted and is suitable for installation on commercial PV systems across most of Australia’s electricity networks outside of WA and QLD. Features include approved secondary protection, indicator lamps, back-up generator inter-trip, remote monitoring interface, indoor / outdoor rated, commissioning test points and optional surge protection.
