Adjust the File Size for Recorded Videos Description: This article describes how to adjust the size of Recorded Video files on the server. Symptom: Recorded Video files are too large and may cause network slowdown when playing across the network or Internet. Possible Issues/Solutions: NOTE: Adjusting the file sizes does not reduce the amount of recordings, only the number of physical files on the server. Steps: 1. On the IP Server, open the Monitor Station using Administrator credentials. 2. Navigate to Administration>Setup and Configuration 3. Expand the IP Server in the left-tree to display all of the cameras associated with the server. 4. For each camera you wish to alter, highlight said camera and open the Advanced tab. 5. Adjust the number value labeled Max File Size. Click Apply. 7. Repeat Steps 4 through 6 for each camera that needs to be adjusted. 8. Once finished, click OK and close the Monitor Station. 9.
