Single and Multi Page Scanning – Auto-Feed Scanner Eaglesoft Version 14.00 and Above **Make sure the scanning device is properly installed and functions outside of Eaglesoft before proceeding. Go to Start | Programs and locate the software installed with the scanner. i.e. HP, Epson, etc. 1. Go to File | Preferences | Xray. 2. Uncheck Use Scanner Interface. 3. Click on the Scanner button, and verify the default scanning device is properly chosen. 4. Then go to SmartDoc | File | Acquire from Twain Device. If the driver detected belongs to a multi-feed scanner the auto preview option is grayed out. 5. Choose Get Preview to preview the pages of the document. Printed copies of this document are considered uncontrolled. 6232.1.Rev001 06.30.2014 1 NOTE: Do not choose the Scan option when scanning multiple pages at a time with an autofeed driver. This will rescan the last page of the document, adding it in twice. 6. When using an auto-feed tray, select the option for Enable Multi-Page so that it grabs the document from the auto-fee tray. When feeding multiple pages through the auto-feed tray, select Auto Scan to automatically place the preview of each page on the right side. 8. Items can be removed from the document. Right-click on the preview and select Delete. 9. When you crop with an auto-feed driver, it can only be done to the last page scanned in. Use your mouse to crop the selection you want, and then click on Scan. If you need to crop on all pages of the document, they would need to be fed through one page at a time. The cropping would need to be done after each page is fed through. 10. Choose Get Images in order to preview the file in SmartDoc. 11. Choose Save in order to save the file to SmartDoc. 12.
