FAQ Announcement: QLogic and Brocade to Accelerate Innovation in Storage Area Networks TRANSACTION OVERVIEW On January 17, 2014, QLogic and Brocade announced a technology and marketing alliance agreement to drive the continued strength of the Fibre Channel SAN ecosystem for the benefit of mutual customers. In addition, QLogic acquired the products and assets associated with Brocade’s adapter business. The product portfolio includes Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), Converged Network Adapters (CNAs), and mezzanine adapters for OEM blade server platforms. This transaction expands QLogic’s product portfolio, enables development of innovative storage networking solutions, and accelerates adoption of Gen 5 Fibre Channel. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
