Pyxis KBDIO The Pyxis KBDIO is a convenient means of replacing a standard keyboard with robust industrial push buttons ● Up to 16 Push Buttons ● Low cost ● Industrial Connections ● PS2 interface ● Makes test system design easier ● Plug & Play with Windows XP More information The Pyxis KBDIO is plugged into the PC PS2 Keyboard port and provides emulation for a standard keyboard. Up to 16 external push buttons can be utilised. The module scans a matrix of attached push buttons and sends the associated key code for the button pressed. The Pyxis KBDIO is a PS2 powered device and takes its power from the PC. There are no specific requirements or drivers required to use the Pyxis KBDIO as the module emulates a PC keyboard generating standard PC keyboard codes as defined below. Scan codes are sent to the PC on button press and button release. The Pyxis KBDIO does not support key repeats. The unit requires exclusive use of the keyboard PS2 port. Systems fitted with the Pyxis KBDIO will, therefore, require a USB keyboard connection if a keyboard is required.
