Careless handling during repair can reduce life drastically. When repairing, make sure that you are connected with the same potential as the mass of the set via a wrist wrap with resistance. Keep components and tools also at this potential. Alle IC's en vele andere halfgeleiders zijn gevoelig voor electrostatische ontladingen (ESD). Onzorgvuldig behandelen tijdens reparatie kan de levensduur drastisch doen verminderen. If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service center. Problem Solution The timer is not working. CD OPERATION "NO DISC" is displayed. Insert a disc. Check if the disc is inserted upside down. Wait until the moisture condensation at the lens has cleared. Replace or clean the disc, see "Maintenance". Use a finalised CD-RW or CD-R. The Clock/Timer setting is erased. Select the source (CD or TUNER, for example) before pressing the function button ( , , ). Reduce the distance between the remote control and the system. Insert the battery with its polarities (+/ signs) aligned as indicated. Replace the battery. Point the remote control directly toward IR sensor on the front of the system. Set the clock correctly. Press TIMER ON / OFF to switch on the timer.
