FRONTIERS MPEG2 IP SD Decoder
The FRONTIERS MPEG2 IPSD Decoder provides the destination side of a complete affordable solution for transporting prerecorded and live standard-definition MPEG-2 video from nearly any location via an IP network. The FRONTIERS MPEG2 IP SD Decoder incorporates the ProMPEG Forum’s (www.prompeg.org) latest standards-based FEC technologyfor video streaming. ProMPEG FEC helps insure the highest quality live audio and video feeds over conventional IP networks, while maintaining full interoperability with ProMPEG compliant equipment from the leading manufacturers of professional video broadcast equipment.
A FRONTIERSMPEG2 IP SD Decoder at a destination works in conjunction with FRONTIERS ProMPEG FEC IP transmitters and decodes standard MPEG-2 Transport Stream video feeds with ProMPEG FEC to recover lost packets and restore stream sequence and timing after transport through IP networks. This helps maintain high possible video quality with jitter-free, clear video even through network congestion and dynamic route changes.
