12 Fiber MPOptimate hydra cable 40G to 4x10G Spec Sheet
The MPOptimate 12 fiber hydra cables are designed for 40 Gigabit QSFP equipment connections supporting dual fiber 4x10 Gigabit applications. The MPOptimate system supports up to 6 cassettes in a channel, while still meeting the attenuation and return loss specifications for datacenter applications such as 10-40-100 Gigabit Ethernet, 4-8-16G Fibre Channel or InfiniBand. The 12 fiber MPOptimate hydra patch cables are used to connect 40Gigabit QSFP transceivers on one side and 10G MPOptimate cassettes on the other. They can also be used to direct connect two network devices with 40G QSFP and 10G SFP+ transceivers. The 12 fiber MPOptimate hydra cables have 3.2mm round, indoor rated cable on the MPO side and 2.0mm round indoor rated cable on the LC side.

Specification PLEASE NOTE – THE FOLLOWING TEXT HAS BEEN WRITTEN SO THAT YOU CAN SIMPLY CUT AND PASTE IT DIRECTLY INTO YOUR TENDER DOCUMENTATION. MPO 12 fiber hydra cables shall be bend insensitive OM4 LSZH, indoor, 12 fiber cable with a diameter of 3.2 mm. The LC tails shall be a 2.0mm, 2 fiber round cable and the LSZH outer jacket color shall be AQUA with a flammability rating according IEC 60332 Parts 1 and 3. One side of the cable shall have a 12 fiber female MPO connector and the other side shall have four LC duplex uniboot connectors. The wiremap must support direct connect of two network devices with 40G QSFP and 10G SFP+ transceivers. See wire-map table below.
