Introduction Recognize this symbol as a safety precaution. Caution To avoid property damage, protect soft vinyl or other flooring with cardboard, rugs, or other protective material. Read entire manual before installing kit. All necessary tools and materials must be available prior to installation. Verify all listed parts are included in kit. If parts are missing, contact source from whom kit was purchased. • Mechanical experience is required to install kit. • Depending on installer’s knowledge and skill, installation can take from 1/2 to 1 hour. • If unable to solve a problem during installation, contact an authorized Amana® technician. Procedure Important • Reverse doors on one refrigerator so hinge is on left side of refrigerator. TK230L Reversibility Kit is required to reverse door. • Permanent doublesided tape is used to attach side trim pieces. Before removing paper backing check placement of trim pieces on cabinet. Trim pieces may be damaged if adjustment or removal is attempted after installation.
3. Slide a corner bezel gusset into end of left and right frame. Insert and tighten screws. Corner bezel gusset

Caution To avoid poor performance or damage to refrigerators install each refrigerator on a dedicated circuit.
1. Verify cabinet opening is a minimum of 70" (1778 mm) high, 24" (610 mm) deep, and 72¾" (1848 mm) wide. Important A 72¾" width opening can be achieved using standard 36" cabinets and a standard ¾" thick filler board as a spacer between upper kitchen cabinets. ¾" spacer for refrigerators is included in BID kit.
4. Slide bezel gusset from left frame into channel on one end of top trim. Slide bezel gusset from right frame into channel on other end of top trim. Confirm trim is aligned properly at mitered corners. If mitered corners do not fit properly, remove left and right frames and make necessary adjustments.

72 ¾" 5. Center top trim on cabinets. Confirm front of trim is secure against front of refrigerator cabinets and a ¾" gap is present between refrigerators. Install top frame on refrigerator cabinets by removing paper backing from velcro patches and pressing frame tightly into place. Top frame may be removed. Remove top frame by gently lifting top frame. Replace top frame by pressing tightly into place. Side frames cannot be removed once installed. 6. Align front edge of left and right frames along left and right edges of refrigerator cabinet. 7. Slide bezel gusset on left and right frames into top frame. Confirm trim is aligned properly and mitered corners are tight.
2. Verify fit of refrigerators in cabinet opening. Left refrigerator should have doors reversed so door hinges are on left side of refrigerator. Roll refrigerators into opening and level according to installation instructions in owner's manual. A ¾" gap should be present between refrigerators. Refrigerators should be centered in opening. After verifying refrigerators fit in opening, raise stabilizing legs by turning counterclockwise. Roll refrigerators out of opening to install kit.

8. Confirm hinge side frames fit around center hinge brackets.
13. Remove toe grilles from refrigerators and open doors. Install cabinet spacer between refrigerators. Start spacer above bottom hinges by pushing bottom ribbed portion of spacer into gap between refrigerators. Slide spacer down behind bottom hinges and in front of cabinets. Push remaining ribbed portion of spacer into gap between refrigerators until front of spacer is tight against front face of refrigerators. Verify top of spacer is tight against lower edge of top trim.

Important • Permanent, doublesided tape is used to attach pieces to refrigerator. Before removing paper backing, check placement of pieces on refrigerator. Pieces may be damaged if adjustment or removal is attempted after installation. 9. Install left and right frames by peeling off 1½ " (38 mm) of backing. Press frames firmly on refrigerator. After checking placement, peel off backing and press into place. 10. Secure left and right frames to top cabinet trim by inserting and tightening screws.

11. Roll refrigerators into opening and check for proper fit with surrounding cabinets. Once proper fit is achieved, roll refrigerators out of opening, plug in power cords, and roll refrigerators back into opening. 12. Once refrigerators are in position and spaced approximately ¾" apart, level refrigerators according to installation instructions in owner's manual. Verify refrigerators are positioned at same height and depth to allow frames and spacer to fit properly. Part No. A1068510 Printed in U.S.A.
