Overview The NH3008 is a four slot modular Gigabit Ethernet switching platform seamlessly integrating 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet. The highly flexible switch is the ultimate solution for rapidly growing network demands; it can provide a power ful Gigabit Ethernet backbone as well as connectivity to network workgr oup devices via Ethernet and Fast Ethernet.

The NH3008 high-performance switching platform features four slots for high-speed uplink modules. The uplink modules include the following:

The NH3008 supports the definition of up to two information priority queues per port, assuring top performance for delay sensitive applications, such as voice and video communications. Using NBase’s own single-mode laser technology, network distance can be extended up to 110 km from a Fast Ethernet fiber port or up to 80 km from a Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-Lx) port.

A powerful address resolution mechanism, distributed switching architecture and a non-blocking distributed buffer memory combine to guaranty full-wire speed performance on all ports. In addition, selectable cut-through or store-and-forward switching capability contributes to nearzero latency*. Engineered for workgroups as well as large-scale enterprise networks, the NH3008 features a large MAC address table (up to 16K unicast entries). Powerful hardware features, integrated Flow-Control over full-duplex links and Backpressure (IEEE 802.3x), reduce response time for optimum network performance. The NH3008 supports RMON (groups 1,2,3,9), Spanning Tree algorithm and Telnet for rapid fault detection and isolation. The switch is fully managed through the comprehensive NBase MegaV ision Network Management System, or any SNMPbased management platform. In addition, extensive Command Line Interface (CLI) management provides out-of-band administration.
