Drink Holder Assembly Bracket Hardware Kit, containing: 1 ¼” Flat Washer 1 ¼” Split Lock Washer 1 Thumb Nut YOU WILL ALSO NEED: Socket set and ratchet, warm, soapy water and a clean rag, set of open end wrenches These installation instructions contain important information. Ensure that the end user receives this copy and is aware of its importance for future use. STEP 1
Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface and turn IGN OFF.

Ensure proper adhesion of this product. Remove all grease, oil, bugs, dirt, and other debris (including wax and polish) from the installation area. Kuryakyn will not provide warranty coverage on products or components lost or damaged due to improper installation. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures below 50°F (10°C). Proper adhesive bonding ONLY occurs above 50°F (10°C).

STEP 2
Open the top trunk; locate and remove the two screws shown in PIC 1; save the screws for later.
STEP 3
Refer to PIC 1. Use warm, soapy water and a clean rag to remove all dirt and debris from the installation area; allow the area to dry completely.
THIS PRODUCT WAS DESIGNED FOR USE AS A DRINK HOLDER ONLY. DO NOT USE THE DRINK HOLDER TO MOUNT OR DISMOUNT THE MOTORCYCLE. DO NOT APPLY YOUR FULL BODY WEIGHT TO THE DRINK HOLDER TO ADJUST YOUR SEATING POSITION.
DO NOT OVERLOAD THE DRINK HOLDER WITH EXCESSIVE WEIGHT.

STEP 4
Locate the included Flat Washer, Lock Washer, and Thumb Nut; locate the Bracket and Drink Holder Assembly.
PIC 2
Insert the threaded stud through the Bracket mounting hole as shown in PIC 2 and 3. Secure the Assembly to the Bracket with the Thumb Nut and Washers.
NOTE:
Use an open end wrench to tighten the Thumb Nut for a permanent installation. Snug the Thumb Nut for now to allow for removal of the Drink Holder without tools. Refer to the end of page for more information.

STEP 5
Test fit the Holder assembly as shown in PIC 4.
STEP 6
Use your fingernail to rub the adhesive backing; this will activate the adhesive. Remove and discard the backing.
STEP 7
Align the mounting holes; press the Bracket into place for one minute; full bonding will occur after 24 hours.
STEP 8
Secure the Bracket to the motorcycle with the two screws removed earlier; tighten the screws.
NOTE:
Removable Drink Holder: Refer to PIC 5. With the Thumb Nut snug, rotate the Drink Holder to vertical; grasp the Thumb Nut with your fingers; “tighten” the Drink HoldPIC 5 er onto the Bracket by rotating it clockwise.

It is the end user’s responsibility to ensure that all fasteners (including pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Kuryakyn will not provide warranty coverage on products or components lost or damaged due to improper installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners.
