INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Ensure that the natural compartment of the main hopper is empty. 2. Set toggle switch on MAGUIRE Controller left end plate to “IMMEDIATE PAUSE”. 3. Shut off air supply to blender. 4. Remove the hopper lid, including any loaders or receivers. 5. Remove Finger Guard. 6. Use a drill to “drill out” the two aluminum rivets that fasten the clear, plastic sight glass in the natural compartment. 7. These holes will need to be enlarged to approximately Ø5/32 [4mm]. 8. Refer to the installation drawing to install the hot-air supply hose adapter. The mesh screen in sandwiched between the adapter and the outside of the hopper. Note that there are (5) threaded holes in the adapter. Use the two holes that match the spacing of the rivet holes that you have just enlarged. DO NOT overtighten the machine screws, or you will destroy the internal threads in the adapter. 9. Refer to the installation drawing. Insert the perforated stainless steel baffle (Part# 59814) into the natural compartment of the hopper. Slide the baffle down in the hopper until the narrow flange (with the bolt hole) in flush with the inside of the hopper, while the straight edge is butted flush against the partition. The bottom edge of the baffle should just touch the finger-guard grid. It may be necessary to further bend the baffle. Note that the baffle need not form a perfect seal against the hopper, it is meant only to create a “pocket”, from which the hot air may disperse through the material. 10. Transfer the hole center onto the hopper side and drill a Ø9/32 [7mm] hole from the inside. 11. Use the cap screw and ”Nylok” nut to fasten the perforated baffle into the hopper. Install the cap screw from the outside, as shown in the drawing. 12. On the vertical portion of the hopper side, choose a location for the hot-air return hose adapter. Note that you must leave ample clearance for the hopper lid flange. About 2½” [65mm] down from the top edge of the hopper should be right. 13. Drill the hole pattern as shown on the installation drawing. 14. Install the hose adapter assembly just as you have done previously. 15. Trim 1½” from Finger Guard to fit and reinstall in Hopper. 16. Return the toggle switch to “CONTINUE” to return blender to normal operation.
