Frequently Asked Questions Are iC site licenses based on the number of instruments or the number of users? The cost is based on the number of iC supported instruments owned. An unlimited number of users can access the software from any location. Do all instruments need to be included in the site license? All instruments for a given technology supported by the latest iC software version must be included on the site license. What is needed to be eligible for a site license? Each system to be covered must already have an iC Instrument license and be on the latest version. If a system is not on iC yet, then an Instrument license must also be purchased in order to be eligible for the site license.
What is the alternative to buying an iC site license subscription? Individual Office and D2i module licenses can be purchased for specific users and covered with iCare subscriptions. The situation at your site can be discussed with your METTLER TOLEDO account manager to see which approach is most beneficial for your needs. I already have iCare on some instruments, can I upgrade to a site license? Yes. You can receive a credit for any unused months of iCare that you have already purchased. How can the software be deployed to users? This is up to each company to decide. The installers can be placed on a shared folder where users can access them or sometimes IT departments prefer to handle installations of new products per their procedures. Contact

No. New Office users will only need to import a special site license file one time per year to enable all covered iC products and modules on their computer. For instrument copies, a set of activation codes will be provided so users will not need to use the website.

No internet license activation needed
What if the subscription is not renewed? If you choose not to renew the site license, then the office and modules copies will cease to work after the expiration date. Instrument copies will still continue to run indefinitely on the latest version that was available when the site license expired.
